Lots different would have happened, Trump would have won easier had the popular vote been all that mattered.

Have you tried standing on your head while typing your nonsense? Last I heard, Donald Trump is the President elect. Would you like me to repeat that?

The electoral college did exactly what is was designed to do -- prevent city majorities from overpowering the less-populated rural areas.

Hillary lost fair and square. Get over it. Grow up. Move on.

Repeat it till your head pops.

Yes, Trump was awarded the presidency by the system-congrats.

But it's still intellectually dishonest to say that his selection by the electoral college is representative of any of this:

"the voters have spoken"

"the silent majority"

"the will of the people"

"the people have spoken"

"mandate"

None of the above apply to Donald Trump's electoral vote victory.

As of now, the voice of the people is represented through candidates obtaining 270 electoral votes. The rules of the game are plain to see and each candidate spends their entire campaign striving for 270+ instead of the highest popular vote. Popular vote is like a team losing the World Series yet crying that they scored more runs, hat more hits and knocked more home runs....WHO CARES.
