What difference does it make? Biden didn't WANT to run. His son had recently died. He wanted to focus on personal things.

Besides, we need to stop electing these old people, people! We need fresh blood in political offices.

No more old geezers who are at risk of getting Altzheimers.

As for WHO on the Demo ticket would have made a difference. It seems, in hindsight, that someone who would have represented change and not a career politician. But I think maybe the country wanted a change in party after 8 years of one party. It's hard to run across someone running for that office who doesn't have a career in politics. That's how hte right ended up with Trump. If the Repubs had had another change candidate, that person would have won.

There are more rational choices than Biden. I never trust a man's judgment when he advises people to fire their gun in the air to scare away intruders.

I Like Joe more than Hillary, but in a 3 way Primary, Bernie wins.

Hillary and Joe Biden have the same base.

My feeling is Clinton would have won against any other Rep. nomination because they all played by the same rules. Rules which the MSM would have refereed and would have clearly favored Clinton.

But Trump came out of nowhere. Instead of capitulating each time the MSM zeroed in he pushed back and ultimately prevailed by winning.

No, the biggest loser during the 2016 election wasn't Clinton it was the MSM.

If the party had nominated him, Biden would have declined.
He considered running before his son died, but afterward, he decided his first priority was his family, not the White House, when his term expired.

Since he's 74, I seriously doubt he'll go back into politics now. After all, he served Connecticut for 36 years before becoming V.P., and 42 total years of service is more than enough for most senior members of Congress. They usually hang up their spurs after 36 years or less. There comes a time when they all want to call it quits and really look forward to staying home and enjoying their lives away from the D.C. grind.

I believe that if Joe Biden did not have his personal issues that kept him out of the race, that based on the results of Trump against Hillary, I don't believe Trump could have over powered Biden through the rust belt and turned so many blue states red, regardless of anyone's feelings of Obama and what he may or may have not done to the Democratic party as a whole.

When it came down to Trump against Clinton, Hillary didn't stand a chance. She was destroyed not only by her own doing, but by Trump. Although we'll never know, I think Biden would have easily handled Trump and quite possibly turned Trump's words back against Trump himself.

All conjecture though. Maybe it would be president Biden now.

Hillary was a true Disaster! Just like the Hindenburg in 1937.

Why couldn't you have had an option for acknowledging that Biden might have won, without incorporating an insult to Hillary? Clearly Hillary was NOT a disaster, as is seen by the 60,000,000 people who voted for her.
