Well she's right where she needed to be on the Bernie vs Hillary issue. Democrats are going to be wringing their hands for not nominating Bernie for the next four years and if they're smart they'll have lost all taste for Hillary Clinton. People who went all-in for Hillary are going to be considered tainted in 2020.

I expect that she could do well enough. She's pretty enough -- which matters for some reason. I'd want to see how well she does at thinking quickly on her feet and how she responds to serious crises. She is a very vanilla Democrat, but she could transition. Democrats need put SJW causes on the back burner and figure out why they failed to connect with blue collar American workers. The working class doesn't trust them like it used to and fixing that relationship is a lot more important than where a trans-male takes a leak or whether a wedding cake maker refuses to make a wedding cake for a lesbian couple.

Whether it's Tulsi or somebody else, the key to success in 2020 is getting the real priorities front and center, and pushing the causes into the background. A charismatic candidate who can do that and do it well will do well.

Let's get through this year before we start predicting what will happen in 2020. OK?

Kamala Harris could be a rising star. First term senator and former CA Attorney General.

Besides being a minority female, what makes her a good choice

Hillary made sure that nobody charismatic even thought of running against her so now that she's removed there is room in the sun for several democrats to step up and make a go.

The only concern though is if the DNC is going to basically pick someone ahead of time and then freeze the others out like this year....and like putting Pelosi back as the minority leader (WTH people...)

I think former SF mayor Gavin Newsom would be a perfect choice. He's young, liberal, charismatic, and I think could really energize turnout among Millennials, ethnic minorities, AA, LGBT, etc. I think he would be a somewhat younger take on Bernie Sanders with a little more center-left appeal.

Is this another affirmative action selection?

Question Will this Democrat be nominated to Challenge Trump in 2020?

Is he the future of the National Democrat Party?

Considering The Wicked Witch of the West (aka Nancy Pelosi) thinks that the democrats don't need to change, I doubt that they would field him as a presidential candidate. Unless...the dems somehow come to their senses and realize that for them, it's change or die out.
