Yes, all of it. Move to public funding of elections so no candidate has to go beg the super rich for money in order to win or if Joe Schmoe tries to run for an office; go thousands of dollars in debt for a completely hopeless cause. If we dont get money out of politics, what democracy can we say that we have?

Expand social security so seniors can live in dignity?

On issue after issue after issue, the American people do not reject progressive policies. Thats just a fact. The American people might not believe many Democrats will fight for these issues and instead serve their big money donors, but they dont reject progressive issues at all.

Regarding Tulsi Gabbard, I believe she is one maverick that can carry the progressive agenda forward and is a great candidate for 2020, together with others like Nina Turner, Sherrod Brown and Al Franken.
See, you don't even know what "Progressivism" is. By the way, Sherrod Brown (one of my Senators) is an ass.

A rigged economy held up by a corrupt system of campaign finance is a recipe for working class despair. We're seeing this play out today as life expectancy of rural whites decline as a result of alcoholism, suicides, drug overdoses and other horror stories. This is the result of the war on the 99% made possible by a corrupt system of campaign finance where the ruling donor class steamroll over Joe Sixpack.
We don't have a democracy. What we have is a Constitutional Republic.

Money isn't the problem. I doubt you can get money out of politics because things cost money. Corruption is the problem, and the Democrats are far more corrupt than Republicans. Just take the example of Hillary's pay-for-play scheme with the Clinton Foundation. Interesting that those donations have dried up since she lost. Telling.

Nominal tax rates for corporations are among the highest in the world in America but EFFECTIVE tax rates are among the lowest in the world. More giveaways to corporations are not needed. Get big money out of politics or we wont have a democracy soon. The donor class hate ideas like expanding social security, public funding of elections and banning for profit prisons. THEY will suffer from it, after 40 years of waging war against the middle class and low income people, the end result is extreme inequality and a rigged economy held up by a corrupt system of campaign finance.

Obamacare is Romneycare. Its an original right wing proposal, a gift to the pharma and insurance corporations as the elderly move to Medicare, the insurance companies need more customers so they were given Obamacare. Medicare-for-all single payer is the solution which the American people want. Politicians are puppets of the donor class, and do their bidding. Trump has packed his administration with huge numbers of crony capitalists, big money donors and establishment puppets.
You don't mention the word tax, do you? That is how we pay for SS, Medicare, etc. Obama refused to use the word tax referring to Obamacare as he didn't want to be seen as increasing taxes on Americans. It took the US Supreme Court to set the record straight and call the individual mandate what it is, a tax. Imagine what happens to a politician when they say "we're going to raise your taxes?" We have been conditioned to believe that yet again the Middle Class is getting screwed.

Looking back at an interview he did with George Stephanopolis where he debated with him the meaning of tax and mandate (this was before the Supreme Court ruling) he mentioned the average person's health insurance premiums were $900 more a year just to cover the uninsured. Well, my taxes didn't go up $900 a year, but my premiums sure did--by that and more. Both parties lie--both are beholden to the donor class, and both play footsie with crony capitalists.

Bottom line, the country was disappointed in the last 4 years--time for a new prez--let's see if we return to government of the people, by the people and for the people.

I am not a fan of dynasties either. If anything would happen to her father or his health would fail; then she might be in the right place at the right time? I think, under the right circumstances that she could walk all over old Democrats like Elizabeth Warren. The last time I heard Warren was their top pick with Sanders coming in second.

It would be poetic justice for the Republicans to have the first female President. I think the Democrats feel slighted that Ronald Reagan was the only modern President to declare amnesty. Here Obama had a Democratic congress for some time and never even tried to push for amnesty.

I also think that Nikki Haley could be groomed for that spot. Of course all of this is speculation and we cannot see into the future.

Republics inherently require democratic functions. The people elect their representatives based on a popular vote.

The President and Vice President were never meant to be elected directly by the people. The people were supposed to elect their electors (qualified and educated folks) who would then vote on the President and Vice President separately.

Talking Should Republicans be worried about Tulsi Gabbard in 2020?

They're a whole lot more concerned about Trump in 2017.

Stay tuned for an entertaining ride.

We all have a ticket.

If Dems considered Michelle Obama to be the "only one" to save them, that attitude serves to further validate the ineffectiveness of the their party.

Nope. Trump's "forgotten Americans" is code for okay people BLM and the gay agenda has been pushed so much we're forgetting about the core of America....the Anglo people.

So unless the DNC runs a white man they don't have a snowballs chance.

On paper Tulsi seems pretty great but her mom's Hindu and if it ain't Christian and you're dark you gotta be Muslim....see the Barack Hussein comments for truth on that.
