While we are at it why don't be allow each sitting president to create his/her own state media company to control the news.

There are a lot of news agencies that I have no respect for, but it's a dangerous precedent to start banning large amounts of reporters, journalists, and entire news agencies/companies.

There are a lot of awful news sites out there, in a free society we have to do our best not to promote them and hope they eventually evolve or go out of business.

Trump has Rick Rolled the idiotic MSM and "Trump Deranged" many times when they don't play fair. No reason for him to stop now.

MSM is a dying form of getting info. Its also expensive & inefficient. The younger generation aka the chord cutters rather see things online .....probably via real independent sources.

Didn't you attend one of his rally's ?
Watch how quick they sell out now when he does his thank you tour.
Then when he has one later in his presidency when the wall is under construction or Apple starts making things here again.

The press says they are there in case something happens and they can report on it. Yet they have been there so many times and failed to report on it accurately. They show more favor to inventing what happened and reporting with a bias to remove the truth of events.

As far as a daily press briefing. Do we really need one. Why not just put out a daily press statement. That would get the job done. Then hold a press briefing as he thinks necessary to keep people informed on news and developing situations. Trump has no legal obligation to the press traditions. They haven't earned any special consideration. The more Trump communicates directly with the people the better off we will be without the bias added by the press.
Good point. I would also add, most if not all of the press corps are liberals anyway. So, he has no chance even from the get go with them. The press corps then for obvious reasons would be merciless with Trump. Conceivable they might even work as a team to discredit him in their usual ways.

Trump is wise to be not be forthcoming with the press. They have shown there is an agenda against Trump underway, why would they change anything now?.

We need a daily feed from Trump on Twitter or even a designated gov. channel to reach the people. In normal circumstances, this would hint at autocratic rule and govt controlled media. In our case, the media is out to destroy the president, he has no other choice but to bypass the media to speak to us directly.

Let the press secretary speak with the press. We need Pres Elect Trump focusing on what he is elected to do:

"Build that beautiful wall, better trade deals, deport illegals, bringing back jobs and Making America Great Again"

We not need another Obama, in his element in the spotlight, all attention on him as dupes us all into doing nothing but talk and say how good he is. Never want type of president again.

I would call this racism against white people. Calling people white trash under the context that you used it under is like calling people the N word. You used that word to insult in much the same way a non black person would use the N word. I call that double standards. People aren't going to forget about that come next election. If you want more support for you side, you should probably stop insult them.

Sure, it will be replaced with blogs and websites which pretend to be news sources without the pesky evidence or verifiable sources. Like most of the links used on this website (see the above post #45 for example).
