If they give the daily statement to the press could anyone stop them from commenting on it ----- No.
Its not likely they will make favorable comments no matter what Trump does. Most have worked for democrat's before going into media jobs. They can't be anything but bias at best because most don't have ethics or standards they think applies to them. They have said as much so it's not like its news. I'm not in the news business either.

I hope Trump changes the traditional relationship with the press and gives them less access.
The press says they are there in case something happens and they can report on it. Yet they have been there so many times and failed to report on it accurately. They show more favor to inventing what happened and reporting with a bias to remove the truth of events.
As far as a daily press briefing. Do we really need one. Why not just put out a daily press statement. That would get the job done. Then hold a press briefing as he thinks necessary to keep people informed on news and developing situations. Trump has no legal obligation to the press traditions. They haven't earned any special consideration. The more Trump communicates directly with the people the better off we will be without the bias added by the press.
How is he supposed to communicate directly? By smoke signal?
Sure, it will be replaced with blogs and websites which pretend to be news sources without the pesky evidence or verifiable sources. Like most of the links used on this website (see the above post #45 for example).
Like it or not, the viewers are shifting. MSM especially CNN and all the polls looked pretty stupid after the election. Let's be honest, the print media is dying...do people really buy newspapers and magazine anymore?
Some posters are butt-hurt because they spent months bashing Trump and calling him every name in the book. They told us all that Trump had no chance at becoming president.

I think Hillary Lovers bashed Trump because like Hillary, if they wished hard enough, they figured she might be the president.... (but the media were the ones that inflated her value and watched as Hillary took her cult lover victims to the brink of despair when she LOST ) You see where "that" wishful thinking got the voters? Wishing she would win??? Now you have a bunch of zombies rioting and destroying their own cities.
With any luck, some of the rioters will get locked in jail, have a full body cavity-search and while their nether-regions are being examined, perhaps they can "examine" why THEY are in jail and I bet Hillary is laughing at them on the TV screen. Wake up! She was NEVER going to be our president. NEVER.
Considering his negative, biased, unprecedented treatment by the MSM, who could blame him if he gives them The Bird for the most part. Just take note of their hysterical outrage when he went for a steak dinner with his family...and left the press behind.
Listening to the coverage since the election, they haven't changed much-all negative, all the time. Not one positive slant from the lot of them.
But remember, when obama would ditch his pool, they almost considered it charming.
No doubt you will get your wish. Yes, our President should communicate to the citizens directly and outlaw any reporting by the press. The only information the citizens receive should come directly from the President and the state. The President should take control of all media outlets. Who says a free press is vital to democracy? President Trump should decide what news I read, what news I watch.
We don't have a free press. We have a owned and paid for press.

Clearly, voters stopped listening to the constant bashing of anything Trump and I believe they aren't really listening now. Maybe every now and again, as I do, to watch the meltdowns and utter lunacy of the MSM
This President Elect is a dirty, sneaky, slimy bas tard. Those of us in New York who know him best gave him just ten percent of the votes.
Trump would love nothing more than to have the Press go away, or only be available when he has something about which he wants to sway public opinion. His use of the Press to incite, manipulate, race bait and deliver a series of hollow promises (and threats) to the masses during the campaign was truly remarkable.
So was Mussolini's.
