I hope Trump changes the traditional relationship with the press and gives them less access.

The press says they are there in case something happens and they can report on it. Yet they have been there so many times and failed to report on it accurately. They show more favor to inventing what happened and reporting with a bias to remove the truth of events.

As far as a daily press briefing. Do we really need one. Why not just put out a daily press statement. That would get the job done. Then hold a press briefing as he thinks necessary to keep people informed on news and developing situations. Trump has no legal obligation to the press traditions. They haven't earned any special consideration. The more Trump communicates directly with the people the better off we will be without the bias added by the press.

And you think Drudge and Brietbart are any different?

I hope the MSM go into overdrive and bury Trump and his band of neo-fascists in 2020.

Trump should toss out all the "Fake News" sites. i.e. CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC, PBS, NPR, etc etc.

How does it feel to lose to people that you consider "White Trash"? That everything you said about the election was 100% wrong?

Yes. I want the press at WH events/covering meetings with leaders as the country should be informed of those happenings in real-time. For outings with family and friends, though, I don't mind if the press is given a blurb after the fact. The press has no need to know that Trump is getting a steak dinner with family!

As long as the information is given out that a meeting is taking place what does the press in attendance really add. They don't get to set in on the discussions. Would a photo of leaders entering the W.H. be enough ? They don't need to be inside do they ?

It was sad that Obama reduced media access, unfortunately with the media hostility Trump will reduce it further.
