Well hes no different than any of the career politicians. What are we to do? You just have to take the lesser of the evils.
At least Trump wants to bring business back to the U.S and not turn us into a globalized 3rd world craphole that the democrats are intent on bringing us to. Thats pretty much all I care about after 8 years of Socialism

That is absolutely untrue- Trump said those things to pander to the uneducated base who doesn't understand what he's all about. He has NO interest in bringing jobs back to the US, just wait and see. His interest is in profits for corporations and for the rich. And how do you achieve those? By cutting costs, which means shipping production overseas to cheaper labor markets.
We seem to have reached a general consensus that Trump is a liar. Trumpers contend that he lies about harmless little stuff but they are happy with that...that's just Trump. Dems say he is undermining faith in the country and our election system and inciting people to be hostile toward minorities or immigrants. So when we get numb to him lying, how do we ever take him seriously? How do we know when he lies about the big stuff? Joseph Goebbels said that if you repeat a lie often enough it becomes the truth....that's Trump's modus operandi. That was his birther strategy and Trumpers swallowed it in spite of evidence to the contrary. Trump prefers too lie even when there is no reason or benefit.

Spot on. I don't think Trump will bring any jobs back to the U.S. at all. I think he will instead try to pass an expensive infrastructure bill, which Republicans furiously opposed when President Obama tried to pass one. Since that will be very expensive and will raise the national debt, and since he wants to also cut taxes for the wealthy, he has to look for other ways to cut spending. That's where entitlements come in and that's where he will privatize and voucherize Medicare and Social Security, giving seniors a coupon and telling them to go shop on the open market and telling them it's a good thing and they'll like it.
This won't be difficult at all for Trump, he has a Republican Congress and they will pass everything he wants. After four years, he will have not brought back any jobs but Republicans will have lower taxes and have successfully cut entitlements with a very right leaning Supreme Court. The national debt will be higher but they only care about that when a Democrat is in office. Then Trump will leave after one term, much much much richer than when he came in. Future Republicans will run on restoring little tidbits of the benefits seniors have today but they'll have moved the marker back substantially.
That must be why Democrats enjoy them so much then.
I'm sure that in your mind that was devastatingly clever, but if you have a 4-year old child living on your block, you should ask him to come over and explain to you how that just blew up in your face. Tell him to be sure to bring his crayons, so he can outline it in a format that isn't over your head.
I read a very good article on Politico about how journalists need to begin covering Trump moving forward. They need to stop taking the bait and go after the story rather than get distracted by his very obvious lies. When he lies so obviously, they can say, yeah, that's a lie, but not waste too much time on it, instead focusing on the larger issues regarding Trump. They need to be relentless on the bigger story and ignore Trump's immature Twittertantrums. He's 70, he's not going to mature so let the world see him as he is and focus on the big issues and leave the world to laugh at the rest.
As for the comparisons to President Obama, we've seen the hypocrisy in full bloom with the costs associated with security around Trump. It is now estimated to be an eye-watering $3 million dollars a day and Trump isn't even in office. Fox News and right wing radio screamed about the $70 million spent on President Obama over seven years. They called Michelle Obama "Mooch". That same $70 million wouldn't cover a single month of Trump. Not one single month. Do you see any outrage? Nope. Republicans are completely silent. And I doubt we will see them calling Trump's wife Mooch either.
Just think how much it is going to cost to keep Moochlania and Barron under Secret Service protection in NY, Trump under it where ever he goes, and MaraLago under it - inconveniencing ereryone around them in their daily laives while spending the big bucks to accomplish it.
Not to mention that his grown children, especially Ivanka, will need SS protection, too.
There is a reason why the 'presidential retreat' is out in the goonies, and why the family resides in the WH. But, hey, it is OK to spend gazillions to protect trump's family. Too bad he's cutting taxes just when the extra money will be needed the most.

We already know how much it's going to cost. Currently it's $3 million dollars a day. Fox News, Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh screamed about Obama costing $70 million over seven years. That wouldn't cover Trump's costs in a month and they will be completely silent about it.
