Okay, what?

Do you understand the plan Trump was to have his kids run the billion dollar family business and their presence during meetings with the Pres Elect creates major ethical issues involving corruption, influence peddling, bribery? He promised to drain the swamp not add to it.

Um, I'm pretty sure you know what I meant, so stop the sarcasm. The post to which I responded said that if someone didn't vote for Donald Trump, he/she doesn't have a say in what matters to our country. Here it is:

Maybe you missed the hundreds of events where Chelsea was campaigning for her mother and helping make important decisions in her campaign, was that a conflict of interest?

In principle, I agree with you OP. A POTUS's family should not be all that involved in the executing of the office. Trouble is that Democrat presidents have had very politically active families. When Bill was president, Hillary kept acting like she was also elected. It annoyed Republicans then and Trump allowing his kids to be involved is annoying you and other Democrats now.

Legally speaking, it's a complete non-issue. If either Donald Trump or Barack Obama hired on an African witch doctor as primary advisor in all things, then they can do that. Legally speaking, Donald Trump doesn't even need to stop running his businesses if he doesn't want to. We have gentlemen's rules governing these things because we worry about corruption, but I'm not aware of any laws on the matter.

Trump is a game-changer. We're used to the Nancy Reagan, Barbara & Laura Bush types. The grandmotherly stay at home and bake cookies kind of feel. It has been the Democrats whose families have gotten a lot more involved over the years. Melania's a trophy wife and likely dumb as box of rocks, but Trump's kids are smart enough to have a go at mimicking what Hillary did as first lady. Just bear in mind that the Democrats set the precedent that this sort of thing is okay, so it's hypocritical to complain about it now.

No, because Hillary wasn't in office at the time! How is it that you don't understand this simple fact?

Had she become POTUS, any financial interests they shared would've been liquidated or put into a blind trust or whatever else would have be necessary to avoid a conflict of interest as POTUS.

Donald Trump isn't in office at this time either, how is it that you don't understand this simple fact?

Had she won she'd still be the same old crooked hag that lied to the American people over and over and over again.

Hate to break this to you, but Since he hasn't taken the oath of office, Trump is still very much a private citizen and can do damned well what he pleases. I suspect you will see a lot of Ivanka, even after Trump takes the oath. She is quite likely to perform many of the functions of a first lady. His sons will probably go back to quietly minding the trump businesses, once the transition team's work is done. For now, I'd think they function as the only sounding boards that he completely trusts.

Obviously you know the answer to that question, so let me double down on stupid questions:

1. Is Trump in office yet, or is he still the President Elect?
2. Was there a problem during the campaign when his kids were involved?

He wasn't POTUS then, and he isnt POTUS today, nothing wrong with the same people helping him figure out his plans.

Trump's son-in-law and daughter are moving to Washington DC and he's apparently trying to find ways to have them work on the White House staff. If Democrats had ever done this, the GOP would explode. If President Obama had asked candidates to meet with Malia or even Michelle Obama, Fox News and Drudge Report would have updates every hour.

Since when did we elect Trump's kids and if they are supposedly going to manage his businesses, how can they also actively work in government roles? How is this not hugely corrupt?
You may not know that Trump is a businessman. That means he has businesses. All other Presidents in your lifetime were politicians before they became President. They all made their incomes from taxpayers. Are you starting to see the difference? Adult kids in the meeting? So what.
America knew and understood all this when they elected him by a historic margin.
Believe me when I say this: WE DON'T CARE!
