With all of the trophy wives, oil tycoons, nepotism, cronyism, foreign dictators, Slovenian porn models, backbiting and over-the-top drama the Trump presidency is going to be like a bad season of Dynasty

She's a successful businesswoman and she's a trusted adviser, she's not some kid sitting in on a meeting.

Exactly. He seems to love the one man shows at the rallies or on reality TV but now, it seems he can't manage on his own and needs to be surrounded by his kids.
Having a wife that gets involved in one particular issue vs. three kids that now attend every meeting while also managing his personal businesses is not the same thing. So now, if Democrats are in power they don't even have to have hearings on a Republican SC nominee, they don't have to reveal their tax returns and they can involve all their kids in running the country while the wife lives in another city on the taxpayer's dime? Oh and they can keep all their businesses, profit while in office and Republicans are not going to take issue with any of that? Is that the new precedent? Where the president's kids interview the secretary of the interior because they have a personal interest in hunting?
Ummm how do I ask this with subtlety... during the crisis of 2008 both parties had their part to play before the public... very few understood the real inner workings of risk management / CDO's gambling so social issues could be played up between the parties and disseminated to the public as real issues, which they really were not. CDO's were the real issues not mortgages...
Which brings me to ask you this... if you were to change or challenge nationalistic traditions that got in the way of global ambitions, which party would have to be used to ease that country toward a new world order? Would a democratic candidate / family work better than a republican one? The traditions are known to be held by Republicans or so is the myth, so wouldn't you be better served to use such a one and then embark on subtly destroying those traditions that kept the backbone of democracy strong? Especially if the people have no idea WHY such traditions evolved in the first place? A lack of historical curiosity or care.
The real transfer of wealth to the donor class takes both parties cooperation. whatever appears to be Trump is really cooperation between parties and people which is why he could tell the supporters there would be no further investigations into a "lock her up" belief / chant. Each has a part to play that goes beyond parties.
If you don't understand why a tradition is there in the first place, you might not realize how your thinking / actions weaken democratic principles and structures . What keeps a country strong is not just laws, but traditions as well. If you devalue your traditions then that which makes up daily life loses its value. Once that is lost, your internal strength as an American or what that means is weakened / compromised.
I may not agree with you on many things but I find your thinking interesting enough to look forward to a real dialogue hopefully without a partisan spin.

Since when did we elect Trump's kids and if they are supposedly going to manage his businesses, how can they also actively work in government roles? How is this not hugely corrupt?
Democrat JFK appointed his brother Bobby attorney general.
The Kennedys had plenty of business interests.
