There was never any doubt about Trump.

well, Truman was elected in '48 after three full terms of FDR, and one term of FDR/Truman.

We could argue about Truman since he had assumed the Presidency but he did win a term following FDR's 4. George W Bush is actually the only President from either party that was able to win a 3rd consecutive term for his party. Although ironically Dems have won the popular vote in the elections following their 2 most recent 2 term stretches.

There is a lot of truth to that....it does help explain how Obumbles could have won twice.

Bush again Gore...no contest....Bush was much more likable
Bush again Dukakis......anyone breathing would seem charismatic against Dukakis
Clinton against Bush.....Bill was very likable...heck I would have a beer with him.....just don't take your wife with you...lol
Bush against Kerry......Kerry was like the walking dead
Trump against Hillary....Hillary was like dead at least once when they hauled her fat butt into the van...keep in mind that Wall street paid her over 20 million to give speeches yet she couldn't fill a high school gymnasium of her own supporters to hear her give a free speech......makes you wonder.....

Ross Perot was the most charismatic in 1992. Unfortunately he's not a major party candidate.

no ross perot was NOT the most charismatic, clinton was. the only reason perot got the votes he did was because he was the most controversial.

and sanders is basically a wet rag, rather like kerry was.

OP is disproved by this one simple political advert. Dukakas was certainly more charismatic than the very dry GH Bush.
