I dont think its that hard.

I honestly think people would rather believe people are stupid, and themselves be willfully ignorant, than to actually discuss a difference of opinion.

There is a thread about how Democrats can "win back the people" and in that thread I simply stated that Clinton won the popular vote, therefore the people are fine with Dems, its where the vote is, and someone called me stupid and said I didnt understand the system.

I think the early govt. recognized that there were a lot of "Slow" people and to dismiss their vote would not be fair. What they didn't figure was that by 2016 the "slow" people in the red states outnumbered the thinkers.

Thus you get Trump. It's just math.

Actually the system worked just fine. When you realize that we are not a democracy, we are a constitutional republic. The STATES elect the president. Trump carried 30 states and deserves to be president. So 60+ million people are 'SLOW' in your estimation. My what an elitist you are.

"...and to the Republic, for which it stands..." We've all recited this since childhood. Sunk in yet?

I think it is wrong to call people slow for simply voting differently than you.

The number of States mean nothing.

It only takes the 11 most populous states to become President

I have said a million times before a Republic is a form of Democracy. They are not 2 separate things, one is simply a more defined version of the other.
