I think most members of Congress attend (at least those who aren't snowflakes). McCain isn't a petty person, so I suspect that he was there in 2009.

When will Pence be sworn in? I would like to watch that in addition to Trump be sworn in.

From what I can tell from various Google searches, the loser in the contest has usually attended. Mitt Romney in 2013 was an exception. Articles indicated that McCain attended in 2009 and Kerry in 2005.

I'm not sure about Bob Dole in 1997, but interestingly, Bill Clinton awarded him a Presidential Medal of Freedom two nights before the inauguration, so I'm guessing he attended.

He was an incumbent Senator, so my guess would be yes.

Pence should be getting sworn in right before Trump (I'm pretty sure VP gets sworn in before POTUS).

Where do these inconsequential and obtuse questions come from?

Yeah, I'd say her attendance owes more to being an attending president's wife than being the vanquished candidate. As a now-private citizen, protocol wouldn't otherwise expect her to attend. Plus the Trump and Clinton families were quite friendly before the election and maybe they're putting it behind them and resuming their friendly ways.

Maybe she'll melt like all of her snowflake supporters, kind of like the wicked witch from Oz. I would pay to see that.
