I agree. This phenomenon is called the "Shy Tory Factor". People are afraid to approve publicly of Conservative ideas, policies, candidates, etc. for fear of being ridiculed.

And if something tragic did happen as a result of no action taken on this matter, what do you bet the cry's from the left/who ever disagrees with this policy would be........"why didn't you do something?!?!".

Can't win with illogical/chronic complainers/whiners who often complain for the sake of complaining or are so ideologically blind they can't see reality.

I suspect it's higher than 49% approval, and I'm okay with adding Saudi Arabia and Packistan.
Even the CD poll is showing 55% approval with 17% more approving with modifications.

Trump's approval rating is currently lower than any other newly elected president since the advent of presidential approval polls.

Obama: 76%
Kennedy: 72%
Eisenhower: 68%
Carter: 66%
Nixon: 59%
Clinton: 59%
George W. Bush: 58%
G.H.W. Bush: 57%
Reagan: 51%
Trump: 44%
