Hillary actually improved over Obama's margins in most of the most populous counties. The urban areas really got trolled by the rural areas in this election! =(

- There were 3 counties of the 60 most populous ones that Clinton won by better % margins than Obama did, but netted less actual votes than what Obama did which put her in worse positions compared to rest of the state. These are: Milwaukee (WI), Shelby (TN) and Prince George's (MD).
- There were 2 counties of the 60 most populous ones that Clinton flipped from Romney's victory in 2012. These are: Orange (CA) and Salt Lake (UT).
- There were 2 counties of the 60 most populous ones that Trump flipped from Obama's victory in 2012. These are: Suffolk (NY) and Pinellas (FL).

It kind of reminds me of this kid I knew in sixth grade who spent all his spare time figuring baseball statistics...what was the purpose?

Nothing of importance but it does demonstrate that the big metro centers do not elect our Presidents. Trump only won 5 of the largest 50 counties.
