The Republicans have their nominee. Time for the Dems to close ranks. Hillary squeaked out expected wins today; Obama still ahead in delegate count and still the preferred candidate. Which means that it's time for Obama to begin focusing on McCain.

Texas caucus for Obama.

Give it up Hillary! Obama '08

I dont think its that cut and dry anymore-However I do think for the sake of party unity, one of them needs to be the bigger person and just step aside and be the others VP.

Doesnt matter which one, but somebody's gotta give in imHo.

Bob Beckel, a strong Dem by the way, said last night on Fox that there is no momentum for Hillbilly. There is for the short run, but with PA six weeks off that momentum will be long gone. Obama will rack up wins in WY on Sat and MS next week and will the media then say that momentum is with Obama now as they said it was with Hillbilly? Doubt it. Beckel was right on the money. He said it all comes down to who has the delegates. Obama does and he will continue to rack them up. Beckel said this right after the whole Fox panel basically said Hillbilly's train is in full steam. Nice smack down Bob. Loved it. Hillbilly will not concede, at least not now. She will be forced to back off, that's if Dean and the party brass have the guts to do the right thing.

Hillary has the SUPERDELEGATE lead!!!

Obama does not have the lead in superdelegates.

Supers can change their vote!! they dont have to vote for the candidate that won their state!! they are not bound to the majority vote!

Clinton/McCain '08!!

Seriously -- Obama can't handle tough press conferences. How the **** is he going to handle being President?

At least Clinton and McCain have been tested and retested with scandals galore! They both are ready and willing to serve!

Either Clinton or McCain in '08!!!! (I'll take either one!)

Neither Obama or Hillary will get the needed 2025 delegates to clinch the nomination even if either one wins every state coming up. There are only just under 400 (360 I think) delegates left.

Why should Hillary quit? She's winning all the big industrial states.

This may be decided by not only the superdelegates but by the courts(meaning Michigan and Florida).

Hillary Clinton does not want Metro Detroit to vote.

She also would be weary of rehashing Florida since even if their votes counted, Barack Obama still has more total votes.

And the last thing the Democratic Party wants is superdelegates voting differently from the popular vote-that would be a PR nightmare and would instantly draw comparisons to the 2000 Bush V Gore contest.

Those superdelegates are partial. They may be looking to improve their own position within the party led by a president they help put in the white house. Do not think for a minute they wont vote for Hillary Rodham Clinton or Barack Hussein Obama. They could careless about the "party". They will be voting for who they want to vote for. Hillary will not back down. She will promise those delegates everything. She will say i am the only one that can beat McCane. Most will side with her. It is going to be Florida all over again. Only no republicans to blame.
