They will judge Trump on his record, which unless he manages to turn it around, it isn't good.

You mean instead of the dozen or more that Obama was involved in and some that Hillary was involved in too?

Tax cuts alone, very big factor.
Who would turn down a tax cut just to get a Democrat in the Oval Office?
Also realize that Trump is the greatest campaigner of all-time, able to overcome the most experienced Democrat candidate ever, so who would the Democrats have in 2020 that could outdo Trump (and Trump will have Republicans on his side more in 2020 than in 2016)?
After this, I'm not so sure:

Let's address your 3 Open issues which aren't solely Democratic issues.

Open Borders :

Ronald Reagan granted AMNESTY to 3 million Illegal Mexicans in the 1980's and the GOP has failed to provide border security or any type of Immigration reform since then.
They had the chance when Dubya was Selected with a majority GOP Congress and he did NOTHING about the issue!

Open bathrooms

A Republican senator pleaded guilty earlier this month to a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge stemming from his arrest at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, according to state criminal records.
Roll Call newspaper reported Monday that Sen. Larry Craig of Idaho was apprehended June 11 by a plainclothes police officer investigating complaints of lewd behavior in an airport men's room.

In 1982, Craig denied rumors that he was under investigation as part of a federal probe into allegations that lawmakers on Capitol Hill had sexual relationships with congressional pages.

Oops !

Open season on cops?

Enough said !

PS : I'm not a DEMOCRAT

The Republicans biggest problem in 2020--Donald Trump (if he is still around).

Baloney on the last part. Clinton campaigned hard for NAFTA, as the 1st Dem with huge Wall St money and cabinet picks behind him. Spent huge political capital on it, marching HRC and Gore out, front and center, to rally politicians and the public behind it.

The sole way your post would be true is if he voted for it solely due to Congress having override votes, and if he campaigned against it.

He didn't. He championed NAFTA. He got it through. Rust Belt told his wife what they thought about that. Appropriately.

Its the reality that the rust belt voted for puppets of Wall Street and the Chamber of Commerce and they have been doing it for quite some time now as unions are decimated and the working stiffs get increasingly confused and distracted. Portman is an utter joke. Same with Scott Walker. These people despise the working class with a passion. The GOP is essentially an extended arm of the most powerful business interests in America while the Democrats still have a few people who are straight shooters with integrity and they are regularly demonized by big money interests.

HRC: LIkes NAFTA as is

Trump = Renegotiate it as it's horrible as is

Trump is correct, and Rust Belt supported the non NAFTA status quo candidate in 2016, as they should have.

PS: HRC & BO = 2 most heavily WS supported candidates all time.

There's really something humorous about Democrats being portrayed as puppets of Wall Street when it seems like half of Trump's cabinet and advisors formerly worked for Goldman Sachs.

It started , validly, with Bill Clinton. Harry Truman would have been rolling over in his grave over BC's actions (Glass Steagall Repeal = BC's BIGGEST gift to Wall Street)
