Funny how Trump supporters are avoiding this thread and can't defend this blatantly illegal and unethical behavior. Not to mention insane, holding a re-election fundraiser 159 days into his first year.
Nah. I think Trump supporters are tired of whining, crying Liberals who LOST and can't get over it.
The president is the main attraction at two events in the nation's capital for the Democratic National Committee, making for the first fundraising test for Obama since he took over the presidency two months ago.
This kind of hypocrisy is why we have Trump as president.
I will point out that what Obama did was take part in a general fundraising event for the Democratic Party. Mr. Trump's event was a fundraiser for his 2020 re-election campaign, so there is a bit of a technical difference. And, of course, Mr. Trump has participated in various fundraising events for Republicans, like that woman from Georgia in April 2017:
Anyway, ignoring for the moment the propriety of using his own hotel for the event, I imagine part of the reason for the event yesterday is to keep good relations with the RNC, since it is my understanding that half of the amount raised went to them, while the other half went to Trump's 2020 campaign.

I'm not trying to defend what Trump does.
