24% Republicans voted for HillBilly:
24% of her vote hates her;
She Still lost

Barack Obama won 60.6% and Clinton won 37.2%. If her Republican voters hadn't shown up, she would have won about 28% and Obama would have won about 68%.

The threshold for winning a larger share of statewide delegates is 62.5% -- so the Republican voters definitely cost him delegates.

The Jed Report

Here's an update on the delegate totals from the Daily Kos wizard of odds, poblano. According to poblano, net/net Obama might have been able to do as well as 24-9 instead of 19-14. Put another way, he could have netted +15 instead of +5 delegates -- a ten delegate swing. Anyway, here is poblano's comment (and while I'm at it, let me plug poblano's brand new blog, fivethirtyeight):

Time to pack ya bags Hill

Yes, even Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter couldn't get her more votes.

She was expected to lose that stae by wide margins. That like saying that he can't get the big states that are needed in the general election if nominated.If he was all that powerful he would ahve had the nomination long ago. But the truth is both are very eqaul as far as popularity in the democratiuc party.That is what this race for the nomination has shown.

texdav What no one seems to realize is Obama was the underdog in this race. The fact that a month or two ago he was far, far behind Clinton in double digits and now how has currently beat her in double digits in some states and has even caught up to her and has won in most states in a short period of time, is astonishing. In Texas, he was quite behind by I think 16% and losing by only 4% IMO is a victory and technically a victory for Obama since he will walk away with more delegates. I keep hearing Obama couldn't close the deal. I don't know what these people are talking about. This man (who basically no one even knew) won 11 in a row to a Clinton. The most powerful name in the democratic party. No matter how this race turns out, what he and his campaign have done has been quite amazing to say the least.

Seems you got the whole thing backwards.....She failed to deliver a KO blow on Super Tuesday, lost the delegate count on Super Tuesday II. And keep in mind that this is a wife a two term president (previous). She was supposed to be the NE patriot of the democratic contest. However, it is just so sad that she finds herself trailing to the Miami Dolphin of the contest in the fourth qtr with 1 and 10 to go!!!!!!
