You want to disenfranchise voters from small states. No thanks, we'll keep it the way it is. Thanks for the idea though.

Personally, it has nothing to do with "small states" -- how about all of the purple big states that are winner takes all? How about Republican voters in Massachusetts or Democrat voters in Kansas?
In the current system, their voices don't matter at all. That's the issue.
You talk about wanting to remove "group think", yet that's exactly what the EC is for 48 states.
She was unlikeable to the kind of people that supported Trump. It was largely about her energy. She comes across as more calculated/held back and they didn't like it. I read that she's an introvert as well and it would explain a lot about why she's unlikable. Us introverts are misunderstood..often thought of as cold people at least by extroverts and my guess is Trump's biggest supporters are extroverts. Not only that she is said to be an INTJ which is apparently the most hated of the groups.
I did not vote for Trump. I supported Sanders and then voted Stein. Unlikeable is not a strong enough word.
The only way Trump wins in 2020 is if the (D)'s run another bought and paid for corrupt candidate. That is certainly a possibility and not a good excuse to change what works.

Hillary was an outstanding candidate. Had a man with her same qualifications ran, he probably would have won. D. Trump, corrupt business man and reality show host, yeah, that's who is in charge of our country. Scary.

It's been covered endlessly and I'm not really into a system contrived by someone that thought Hillary an outstanding candidate.
Had a decent woman run then they would have likely been elected, it was not that Hillary was a woman, it was that she was and is a POS, hopefully in time it will all come out and those of you mesmerized by her lies will hopefully wake up, at least we can hope.

The *lesser* evil is still evil. Maybe someday again we won't be left with these options.
He could never have won had the dems not put up Hillary. Many dems could have likely won, well except for Hillary with all her baggage and she may have even won had she not insulted half of America by calling anyone who may have been on the fence, a deplorable, that likely pushed many over to Trump. Hillary has no one to blame by Hillary and people need to stop blaming it on her being a woman, yes she is a woman, an elitist woman looking down on everyday Americans.
