I want to see if I am on a list of smaller donors, less than $1000. I can only find lists of big donors. As a Trump voter and campaign volunteer living in a blue state, I am worried about being discriminated against by employers. Or once hired, even if the employer didn't search for my contributions, a disgruntled coworker might make trouble. I have a rather common name so I figure I could always say it was someone else with the same name.
Opensecrets.org or fec.gov would generally be the two places to check.
If you donated less than $200, ( in a single donation or several donations totaling less than $200) you likely will not show up. If your donations were in excess of $200, by law the campaign would need to report your name, etc.
Unless you are looking at a political job, I highly doubt any employer will search for political donations.
Play with the filters and you should be able to find it. I just found a few donations over the years I made of less than $200, others weren't there. I have never donated more than $200 ( I think $100 is the most)
Thanks so much! I never would have found it. They have every contribution even less than $10 when I bought some campaign merchandise. As it happens, a woman with my name made contributions to Hillary, so my bases are covered!
