U.S. Sen. Barack Obama waited 16 months to attempt the exorcism. But when he finally sat down with the Tribune editorial board Friday, Obama offered a lengthy and, to us, plausible explanation for the presence of now-indicted businessman Tony Rezko in his personal and political lives.
The most remarkable facet of Obama's 92-minute discussion was that, at the outset, he pledged to answer every question the three dozen Tribune journalists crammed into the room would put to him. And he did.
Interesting how there are no responses to this. The Tribune did a three page spread in its Sunday paper on March 16, with Obama's complete answers to the questions posed by the Tribune's editorial staff. Obama sat down and said he would answer every single question they asked and did so. Even John Kass didn't have much to say in his separate column.
Thanks for posting this. He did this with the Chicago Sun-Times editorial board as well, but I don't know whether they've released their editorial about it yet. Considering how vocal some of the partisan hysterics on this board were on this matter last week, the silence on this thread is deafening.

I expected no responses. People said he was done for and now they have to eat crow. I laugh everytime I hear they think he's in trouble.
