And here's some amusing predictions from The Left:

Progs are used to losing and couched the above responses in preparation for doing more of the same.
But now that they won, they pound their chests and scream that they knew it all along!

Nope, most of us are stunned that Alabama did the right thing. I admit I didn't see that coming. And I have apologized to Alabama for not believing they had it in them. Well done, Alabama!

I didn't. Count me in as being happily surprised.

Besides, how often do you get to say "And the horse you rode in on!" when referring to someone who literally rode in on a horse?

Looks like the pollsters learned a thing or a thousand about how to poll voters over the last 13 months. Actual spread was 1.5% in Jones' favor, which isn't far off at all.

I sure didn't think Jones would win. I thought Moore had it in the bag. I was pleasantly surprised.

Yes, jones winning was a surprise, because it was hard to believe that all those ruby-red alabamans would turn their backs on the party. And, yet, they did, sufficiently to make the victory pretty much bullet proof. Now they should swear jones in so that he can vote on the tax bill and see what happens next.

It was an upset. The seat will, of course, flip back to a conservative Republican in 2020.

It is going to be interesting to watch the years to come, as dozen of Congressmen, both parties, get skewered over harassment claims.
