WTF is it with all the Joe Biden votes? Now I admit I am a conservative and obvious probably oppose most of Biden's policies. But still I don't get it.
What makes him a good choice?
Ride on popularity of Obama?
What significant actions did he take as VP?
I am putting a Democrat hat on, and I am just not seeing it. I am not trying to be rude or funny, just honestly don't see the rational of picking Biden.
A lot of Dems on this board want the party to go further Left
That is probably because the Democratic Party has moved further to the right ever since Bill Clinton. Instead of being another corporate neoliberal party like the Republicans, time for the Democrats to go back to its working class roots.
You could have saved yourself a ton of time and just did a poll that says:
Are you a Trumpist?
Yes
No
It's more complicated than that, different people either approve or disapprove of the president for completely different reasons, plus I had fun putting together that list.
I am still looking around but Blumenthal looked pretty good at first glance. Maybe Garcetti over even more liberal options.
Prefer a candidate not past mid 60s and less clearly liberal than HRC. Blumenthal is too old by this criteria but doesn't look it or act it as much as some others. Garcetti is at a good age but might be a better national candidate in 2024 or 2028, perhaps after becoming Governor or Senator.
When Democrats win the White House they usually have the younger candidate (for last 100 years).
There's no way the Dems will win with a progressive like Warren. None. As a Trump supporter, I'm concerned the DNC will present a moderate candidate. But then again, in the long term maybe that's best for the country.
Did anyone see Joe Biden's speech where he said something to the extent that he's "plenty progressive"? I mean, seriously.
