Sixty-four percent of Democrats said they were "very enthusiastic" about voting this year, while 54 percent of Republicans said they felt the same way.
That's odd. The Democrats seem to be quite happy as far as I've noticed. You don't appear to be happy though.
If you have no worries, then why so much vitriol and acid?
Doesn't really count when much of the new dem voters are illegals or daca recipients
But it does really count when much of the new Democratic voters are Millennials:
Quote:
Millennials were most likely to identify as liberal Democrats. In 2016, a majority of Millennials (55%) identified as Democrats or leaned Democratic; 27% described themselves as liberal Democrats – the highest share of any generation. For much of the past decade, conservative and moderate Democrats outnumbered liberal Democrats among Millennials. But in the past few years, there were about as many liberal Democrats as conservative and moderate Democrats among this youngest adult age group (those who were 18 to 35 in 2016).
Millennials are a huge generation, and they are going to change the face of politics in this country in the coming years as the old conservatives die off. And we're going to start to see this influence in the upcoming elections.
Who knows, but I'm pretty sure the "Texas Blue Wave" isn't happening.
I just drove by my Precinct and there were well over a 100 cars in the parking lot.
When Mr Kibby voted at 10 am - all 24 voting stations were full at 10am. When Mrs Kibby at voted at 4:30, all 24 voting stations were full. The Precinct Election Judge told me that she expected the shut down time at about 9pm based on the daily traffic.
62 races in my Precinct GOP Primary, with 43 of the races ran unopposed.
For reference only - in the Democrat Primary in 2016, they had 102 votes for President.
Clinton -50
Sanders - 52
I suspect at this point that Republicans came out to Vote today.
This is larger than normal and that is Thanks to the Leftist Media Hype that Republicans won't vote in Texas.

From what I'm reading, Dem turnout was the highest in 16 years. That doesn't necessarily mean they're going to win Texas seats, which remains much more Republican than not, but it's still a very bad sign across the country for Republicans in November.

OK .... I guess we can put you firmly in the camp of Blue Wave regardless of vote totals.
Dem turnout in Texas was certainly up - the Early Vote was reported breathlessly and extensively.
Democrats held a 40,000 vote lead going into Election Day. When the dust cleared - a half million more Republicans than Democrats voted. The only thing that surprised me about the primary is that more Republicans voted in 2018 than in 2010. The General Election is the big enchilada.
I completely agree, I wish voting was mandatory we might get better candidates from both parties if more people got involved
