Some suspicious stuff going on with some of the registrants.
No doubt, they've been emboldened by the administration's dismissal of other such reports.
"...these five individuals and 43 others who signed up to attend don't appear to be Travis County residents, or Texans, or even Americans. They might not even be real people. They may be pranksters — or they may be Russian trolls, and their appearance in Texas could represent the first public example of foreign probing of the 2018 elections.
Five senior intelligence officers, two current and three former, say the case of the Texas 48 looks like Russian meddling."
So, far, there's been no comment or action from Homeland Security.
I think this really sums up that particular issue:
""This may seem like a small scale incident," a former senior FBI official tells NBC News. "In fact, it's indicative of a much larger problem. How can the federal government be part of the solution if they're not even following the facts that some state and local officials are discovering? It's unacceptable.""
Instead, they waste time defending roadblocks that deny actual American citizens the right to vote.
Pretty clear where this administration's priorities lie.

well lets see how this is covered? For some reason I think you as well as the liberal press are looking for trouble where it probably doesn't exist.

This is a rather interesting reaction.
Should election boards verify registrants or should they not?
Seems to me that on this very forum there are multiple threads about the lack of due diligence with regard to keeping voter rolls up-to-date and making sure that only actual citizens are allowed to vote.
Here we have a perfect example of exactly that and you call it looking for trouble...
Do you not want to know if foreign entities are meddling in our election processes?
Russian direct interference in elections has been long expected and anticipated. The United States may be forced to return to the use of paper ballots and ballot couriers if it happens.

Everybody should be keeping an eye out. They're highlighting the holes in our electoral system. This is a direct threat to the democratic institutions of our society.

Wait, I'm confused. Wasn't it Donald Trump who was yelling about voter fraud in the 2016 election ? So, why is ok for only him to bring this subject up ?
Who knows, in the future Dems may even want voter ID's to protect the integrity of the elections.
