A new PPP poll out of NC shows Obama up big 55%-34%, just two weeks ago Clinton had pulled to within 1% in the same poll. It looks like the Rev. Wright controversy is behind him.
Campaign Diaries: Obama regains ground in two upcoming primaries (http://www.campaigndiaries.com/2008/03/obama-regains-ground-in-two-upcoming.html - broken link)

Meanwhile a new Rasmussen (http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/pennsylvania/pennsylvania_democratic_presidential_primary - broken link) poll out of Pa. shows Obama gaining ground, now down by only 10%. Many polls have had Clinton's lead there close to 20% or more.

In other words, the news for Obama in these two polls is all good.

Can we have a poll on how worthless polls really are?

Agreed, PPP has been all over the place this primary season, but still the trend looks good when compared to their NC poll of two weeks ago.

Rasmussen is respected and they show a trending towards Obama in Pa. I think this is demonstrating that he is recovering nicely from whatever damage Rev. Wright caused.

Could be b/c he was just in Charlotte and is going to be in Greensboro (or maybe has been already, can't remember what I saw on the news)? I heard Hillary chose not to campaign here and I think she is going to find that was a big mistake. At this point, she should campaign anywhere she can still get votes. We'll see how it shakes out with the vote. I don't trust all these polls.

I don't think Hillary can afford to campaign everywhere. She only has $3 million in the bank, compared to $27 million for Obama.

I just don't understand this comment. How hard is it for them to get on a plane or train or even bus and come out and just talk to people? How much money does it really take?

Hillary only cares about the big prizes.

That would be a good question for Hillary. She has more consultants and party platters to pay for than Obama does.

Maybe one of the reasons Obama is doing better in NC (and all the other states he has won) is that he manages his campaign money better so that his message gets out on the grass roots level. He came to my neck of the woods more than Hillary did.
