A new NBC/WSJ poll found some interesting things, among them:
Obama and Clinton are tied nationally at 45%
Obama leads McCain by 2% while Clinton trails McCain by 2%
Hillary Clinton's positive rating of 37% is the lowest ever recorded by this poll
When asked if the three presidential candidates could be successful in uniting the country if they were elected president, 60% of all voters believed Obama could be successful, 58% said McCain and only a paltry 46% felt Clinton could unite the country.
All in all, this poll is good news for Obama, as it indicates the Rev. Wright affair is over. Meanwhile, the Hillary Clinton argument that she's more electable does not hold water in this poll.

As we know Upton, they don't get it or refuse to get it.

Wow. Hill's positives are in the toliet while her negatives are through the roof.
That is the death rattle we hear from her campaign.
CNN says that thier polls show that mnay democrats for Obama and clinton will vote for Mccain if the other wins the nomination and that indepoendents are now favoring McCain.
"We know from past experience in Illinois that Obama is capable of generating significant support among Republicans. In 2004 he won the Senate race with 70% of the vote, including 40% of Republicans and 74% of Independents. The exit poll data broken down by ideology showed Obama winning the support of 80% of self-described "moderates" (50% of the electorate that year) and 33% of self-described "conservatives" (27% of the electorate)." RealClearPolitics - Articles - Republicans for Obama?
Art123 - I like Obama as much as the next guy (girl), but let's not forget he was running against Keyes in that contest.
Sssshhhh!
I know. But they (the Republicans) could have just stayed at home. They did flip the lever (or fill in the dot, or touch the screen, or whatever) for Obama.
Thanks Upton. You are always on top of this stuff. I usually check daily but it doesn't show the percentages you mentioned. I thought I should also note, Obama moved up in North Carolina, 50% Obama, 38% Clinton. Keep the info current. I look forward to your updates.
