Tickets to the Mansfield-Metcalf Democratic Dinner on April 5th in Butte, Montana, an event at which both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama will attend and speak, sold out in less than 15 minutes, absolutely overwhelming the demand! Along with that, there is a strong possiblity that Barack Obama MAY also make an appearance at the University of Montana while he is here, and there is more buzz, electricity and anticipation in the air over that possiblity than there was when the Rolling Stones announced they would appear here last year! I mean, it is absolutely unbelievable, everyone is talking about it. It was the main headline in the newspaper today. A college student I work with told me it is "all about Obama" at the University here. This is Montana, mind you, we're 93.5% white out here, so race is obviously not an issue here, as much as Obama's foes wish it were.

On the flip side, Karl Rove made an appearance here today. His appearance was closed to the public, invited "quests" only, of course. And get this: The ONLY REPORTERS ALLOWED into the Karl Rove appearance were FOX NEWS REPORTERS! This is true, they just stated this on the local news as I'm typing this! What does that tell you? "Fair and Balanced" my butt. Outside the Karl Rove appearance, there was no line of people who "couldnt get in" like there always is at the Democratic events. Instead, there were a lot of protesters, including Republicans with signs saying "Karl Rove does not Represent Me". I don't blame them. I don't think I'd want to claim him either!

Wonder whether McCain could generate this much excitement and political enthusiasm?
