Thank GOD for the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. You know the 9th or any other circuit that Obama stacked with leftist judges would've made a ruling in the other way, the law be damned.
Before you condemn a court because you think it is unduly liberal because of Obama appointments--
Why don't you check the facts?
The 9th Court has judges appointed by MANY presidents--not just Obama
Clinton actually appointed the most judges

It's 2018. We should have an app for voting and avoid this issue. Now of course, if this were the case, Republicans would be completely up ****'s creek, so it'll never happen.

Yeah let's put voting in the hands of the internet which get's hacked every day all day. Good idea NOT!

So, you're saying democrats are too lazy to go down to the polling place and vote, but if it was right on their phone, they'd do it?
But a person has to be registered to vote to request a mail ballot
The issue is registering people who lack what is deemed "proper" identification.
There have been people turned away from the polls because their voter registration card and their photo ID was not identical
Say their DL had a middle initial and the voter card did not
And they could see the photo ID was the person w/the voter registration card
My husband and I both had to have our voter registration card updated to reflect our TXDL info
And we have voted in pretty much every state/federal election since we turned 21---at least I have
People who are older, people who have no photo ID--and that is mainly older residents who don't drive anymore
People who have moved in from out of state maybe to live with family
It is certainly possible to be an entirely legal citizen and not be able to register to vote
There are ways to verify. It is why the absentee ballots tallied last.
That is incorrect information
Mail-in ballots are not necessarily counted "last" like they might be invalidated
Different precincts different policies for handling mail in ballots
You are simply wrong. Precincts are within a voting jurisdiction, always at the county level. Chaos would exist if different precincts within a county used different practices. Absentee ballots are mailed back to the county voter registration and elections office.. A precinct simply exists on Election Day to serve as a place(s) to cast a ballot. Those votes are then tallied by the staff in their office after the voting closes and the precincts convey the ballots, in whatever form, electronic or paper. After which the absentee ballots are tallied after verification and validation.

There are plenty of places where absentee ballots are counted and entered when they are received
My mother before her death and my SIL who was an election worked in Vicoria County would count absentee ballots as they were received
Now those were some years ago but my SIL last worked in 2012 national election and afterwards in local/state elections...
