What assault on Trump? He is the cause of all the criticism that he undoubtedly deserves.Republicans know he can't win another election and will support another candidate. Many Republicans are sick of this debacle in the White House and will become activists to support an opposition candidate. Watch for Republican women and minorities to lead the charge. BTW, I'm a white male Republican.
The constant witch hunt. They are digging and digging trying to find something....anything. It gets tiresome and they are wasting time. I quit watching the news a couple years ago because of it and now when they start in on it on the radio while I am driving, I mute the sound for a couple of minutes until the segment is done. The majority of the republican base that put Trump in office is sick of the nonsense as well. I will not be surprised a bit if he wins a second term even if the voters do it just for spite.

Zero chance on both of those. You can go ahead and write that down and wait to see. Who else do you have?

I don't think he makes it to 2020, but if he is, I think he will be primaried, but would win, pretty easily. If he survives until 2020, it means that traditional Republicanism is dead, so he would not be defeated by a primary challenger.
But again, given the scale of investigations after only 15 months, and the avalanche of challenges to him remaining in office, I don't think it makes it two more years. He will either resign, pass away, get impeached, or otherwise be removed.

Putting Trump on the Clinton investigation timeline, we are now 1/4 of the way into the Clinton investigation. Clinton hadn't even met Monica Lewinsky yet. Let me repeat, at this point in time, the underlying event that triggered the impeachment HADN'T EVEN HAPPENED YET.
Explain to me again how Mueller's investigation with multiple indictments and guilty pleas already is digging and digging and wasting time and needs to be shut down?
Whinyness by Trump and Guiliani and anyone else isn't the basis for judging whether an investigation is valid. We know Donnie is crapping his pants because things are getting real and they are getting closer and closer every day. That's why he's so desperate to discredit and attempt to stop the investigation. If he was actually innocent, there'd be no reason to act with such desperation.

Meuller can't indict Trump because he is president per Department of Justice Guidlines. Of course the House of Representatives could begin impeachment proceedings in the future if in fact something is found on Trump just like they did with Clinton. I have to ask though, what is the point? Sure they impeached Clinton but what difference did it make? It was just a pony show that wasted tons of time and tax payer dollars. Clinton remained in office his entire presidential terms and the impeachment was a joke. Most people forget and really could not care less that it ever happened. Is that what some of you are hoping to happen here? At the end of the day, it just simply doesn't matter.

Clinton's impeachment was a joke because of what the underlying occurrence was.
I'm not presupposing the outcome of the Mueller investigation but the things that are being investigated are VASTLY different and far more disturbing in terms of their impact on the Presidency and the country.
If it turns out there is sufficient evidence to indict Trump on charges such as corruption and money laundering, plus what already seems like a strong case for obstruction of justice just based on Trump's own public words and actions, then sorry, no, I will not agree that it simply doesn't matter.
and your comments remind many of us the same. I do not have any idea why you think his comments are so off base?
