In my opinion, I think many (not all) Bernie supporters didn't think Bernie really stood a chance but were surprised when he hung in there as long as he did. And the whole time, they had the mindset of "if we can't get Bernie, Hillary is good enough." So by the time word got around that the DNC had its thumb on the scale in Clinton's favor, she was already the nominee and the bed was made, so we had to sleep in it.

Interesting thought. Especially considering most thought the Republicans would have nominated someone else by the time of the convention.

Had it been before the DNC, it probably would've been Bernie based on statewide votes. During the convention, they would've had to pick and my guess would be Elizabeth Warren. Had it been after HRC been confirmed at the DNC, it probably would've been Tim Caine based on the DNC confirmation.

It's hard to imagine a less charismatic POTUS candidate than Tim Kaine.

If he ran against Jeb, many would swoon over Jeb in comparison.
