You dont remember perhaps because you pay attention to corporate mainstream media and they dont like negative attention given to the people that provide them with money?

He promised to take on big pharma as well and he caved immediately once in office.

Trump’s campaign platform included allowing the Medicare healthcare program to negotiate with pharmaceutical companies, which the law currently prohibits. He has also discussed making it easier to import drugs at cheaper prices.

“We are going to start bidding. We are going to save billions of dollars over time,” Trump said.

Of course he has caved. He has met with the pharma donors and dropped all the talk from the campaign and instead starting talking like a GOP pharma puppet after his meetings.

The guy is a meek mouse. People dont remember any of this because the mainstream corporate media dont like to talk about it. Because big pharma and Wall Street own corporate media. Its their bread and butter.

This gave me chills to see this young woman who beat this long time NY rep. And it was not by money.

Good news? Considering the death toll of socialism I can hardly imagine celebrating anyone who promotes it.

I have helped my widowed neighbors mentally ill son for over 20 years and have been in places I was not supposed to be. I have seen rooms full of mentally ill people in meltdown mode and this women would fit right in there, she has the look of a raving lunatic. Her socialist ideas are consistent with the ideas of some of these sick people. They want everything for free and are angry about not having everything that they deserve, give it to me NOW.

Entitlement mentality .

Socialism is all about confiscation and control . Not freedom .

The path to success in America is no secret , but most people want to take the steps to achieve it.

The same was said by the right wing when Social Security and Medicare was introduced as well.

On Social Security in the 1930s:

Quote:
John Taber, a Republican representative from New York, went further and said of Social Security: “Never in the history of the world has any measure been brought here so insidiously designed as to prevent business recovery, to enslave workers.”

Daniel Reed, a Republican representative from New York, predicted that with Social Security, Americans would come to feel “the lash of the dictator.” Senator Daniel Hastings, a Delaware Republican, declared that Social Security would “end the progress of a great country.”
On Medicare in the 1960s:

Quote:
The president of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons went further and suggested that for doctors to cooperate with Medicare would be “complicity in evil.”

The Wall Street Journal warned darkly in editorials in 1965 that Medicare amounted to “politicking with a nation’s health.” It quoted a British surgeon as saying that in Britain, government health care was “crumbling to utter ruin” and suggested that the United States might be heading in the same direction.

The ruling class propaganda is relentless. They want it all, while ordinary people slave away for the masters with zero public safety net and a desperate, afraid and obedient population.

Bail outs are Socialism. Quantitative Easing is Socialism. The entire Federal Reserve set up is Socialism. Tariffs are Socialism.

When we want to get rid of Socialism, I'll listen but it cant be be where we get rid of it only for the poor and middle class.

One wonders when the political party billing itself as the "Democratic National Committee" changes its name to reflect its values today.

i.e.

The "Socialist Party of America".
