I’m not a Democrat, but I would suggest:

Universal access to free/subsidized healthcare
Full employment
Guaranteed income
Universal daycare
Longer pregnancy leave a la Europe
Means testing for Social Security

He seems to need it like an addict needs crack. And as for those manufacturing jobs of 30 or 50 years ago coming back; sad to say, but good luck with that. It is a different world and the time machine to take us back is broken, no matter what Trump promises.

Not be flippant or insulting, but where do you see people working if not in manufacturing? There are only so many investment banking jobs, so many construction jobs, so many barrista jobs, so Uber drivers.

Someone has to make desk and chair that the banker sits on, the excavator and jack hammer that the construction worker uses, the coffee maker that the barrista uses, the truck and engineer that bring the coffee and deliver the excavator. Manufacturing is far from dead. This is still a world where a guy (and it is usually a guy) installs a water heater and lays out the plumbing, where a guy with a degree in engineering fresh from school designs a component for a transformer or a combine. Sending this stuff to China or India or even Canada to have rows of restaurants serving gourmet lamb burgers is economic suicide.

Would be nice. Santa, though, is likely to skip your town this Christmas.

Means testing for Social Security is a far right proposal. Social Security benefits should be increased, not means tested. If you pay, you get benefits. No matter what your income is. Means testing is a trick by right wingers (many are democrats) in order to divide and alienate ordinary people and make a program unpopular.

I didn't say that manufacturing was dead. I said that manufacturing jobs will never be like in the past. No need for as many humans to turn out the products.

I was in a job for several years (not manufacturing) on a team of 10 that performed a function. Company purchases a software program and we are then a team of 4. Updated program after a few years and now it is a team of 2 (I'm retired). That is just the reality of it. The guy who used to be on the assembly line is going to have to learn new skills for new jobs instead of waiting and hoping for his old job to come back.

So with all this foreign relations experience the administration he was part of wasn't able to get a meeting with North Korea?

He didn’t even try. And why would he. Kim Jong Un got his time in the spotlight because of trump. But he played trump cause he’s not giving up his nukes. Why do you think other presidents ignored him

^^^Can't argue with that. Trump is doing better than many ever thought though, and predictions of economic and social collapse were just a Democrat Delusion.
