I have no idea who LaWana Mayfield is. Is he/she a racist? Xenophobe? KKK member? Nazi sympathizer? Holocaust denier? What is he/she?
Let's see. You took the time to find out about an obscure politician in a remote very rural part of North Carolina.
But you don't have any interest at all with a politician in the largest city of the state. A politician who was a part of Obama's nomination process in 2012. A politician whose district was where the 2012 DNC Convention was held.
Curious that. Though I get why the MSM will cover one and not another.

Perfect. You deflect and won't answer the questions. Why?
It says nothing. The Republicans don't run in state rep districts like this because they will be solid 80% Democrat in the general anyway. So some racist kooks see the opportunity and win these primaries unopposed.
Although I don't claim to have knowledge of the political or racial make up of the district involved:
Russell Walker, the Republican candidate for House District 48’s Scotland and Hoke counties
it's quite clear "the usual suspects" from over there in Deep Left Field are out to spin this story as typical of the entire state of North Carolina, in order to indoctrinate Newsweek's impressionable clientele,

If if makes you feel good to talk about 824 people that you don't know but have drawn conclusion about, while ignoring the exact same from another group of people who have done the same thing as members of the party you support, this speaks more about you than them.
Racism is wrong. And it doesn't matter the color of the person doing it, nor the political party they belong to.
66% of primary voters still voted for an avowed racists. No excuses.
I knew a guy who's a state rep who doesn't really campaign - he says people keep voting for him because he has a recognizable last name in the area.
Point being you don't really research who is running for state rep for a party that won't win anyway, and there was no news about him before the primary.
There are infinitely bigger 'issues' to be concerned about.
Care to define what you are talking about. Most of us are not sears or mind readers.
