I heard today that the Bigfoot thing was a joke, satire, humor, so it's understandable a humorless Leftist thought it was serious. The only humor they find funny is Trump's severed head or dead at the bottom of an escalator.
Or watching a turkey get beheaded for reals. Even the Republicans didn't find that funny.
"It was only a joke." is the lamest excuse ever in politics. It always fails, but the weak-minded always go to it first. Sort of like saying "The dog ate my homework."

Like the Harvard 'educated' Korean woman hired by the NY Times whose vile, racist tweets were discovered and the Times defended her saying they were 'biting satire.' Guess they are trying to meet their diversity-in-hiring quota so don't want to have to fire her.

Yup. When "It was only a joke" doesn't work, blame it on satire instead. It's the same excuse, really, as both are meant to be humorous and silly.
