I'm not sure you can call it 'with ease' when it went back and forth at the 11th hour, and so far with less than a full percentage.

Not good for the Rs.
If you count those 1,000 plus Green Party democrat votes, they would have won.

YUP -- Ain't it Grand! To hear them all talk about it -- the entire Mid-Terms are dependent on this race.
UNLESS the Republican actually wins ..... which means he really loses.

All of this Drama, All of this Media Hype and it's only a little over 2 months before they do it all again.

The Russians clearly must have been at it again if Balderson won.

What else could possibly be the explanation?

Whether each side eeks out a narrow victory, I don't see the result as a sign of things to come in November. One thing I've seen in these special elections is that turnout is generally always lower than in a general election in a normal scheduled election year, and that's holding true now. But we are seeing increased enthusiasm among Dem voters (that's indisputable). Still, this increased enthusiasm is only enough to barely get Dems over the line in cycles where GOP turnout is at its typical "lows" for special elections. I am not confident (far from it, in fact) that such will hold true when turnout goes back up at the midterms. Not in these otherwise heavily GOP districts. This is even more so in heavily gerrymandered districts that favor the GOP due to last cycle's redistricting.

I think the November rematch will likely be more telling than this one.

I turned into CNN for a few seconds (that's as long that I was willing to torture myself) to see how they were handling things
