So this is why Obama lost seats during every mid term election. And especially so in the particularly devastating 2014 election where every single contested seat in the Senate went to the GOP?

Yeah.

Lol. I am not retired and currently in college but I have NEVER missed an election. Nor has anyone I know of. So much for that theory.

Then you are clearly not the norm. Most younger people also don't post on political discussion boards.

Ah YES, the "Elites" claim those who are not the Deplorable, Irredeemable Red Neck neanderthal "phobics", will flock to the "IMPEACH 45!" platform of the Leftists. The Socialist Platform of the Leftists.

The Deplorables will just sit home and Pout ....... Pout, Pout, Pout ...... Stay Home.

What color is the Sun in Your World? This was exactly the same Story Line they predicted in 2016.
How did that work out for you?

It's a New Day in a New World ..... the Worm (forgotten voters) has turned.
Better find a New Playbook and FAST ....... better yet, better find some MONEY.

Not sure how House will break, but it will be meaningless in grand scheme of things. GOP has POTUS, will add to Senate lead, overwhelming lead in states under full GOP vs Democratic control, will have Conserv SC 25 years after Kavanaugh sails through, etc.
The House matters only because Democratic control of it will lead to the effective end of the investigations into DOJ malfeasance.

From a policy perspective that's meaningless.

But I believe it's absolutely necessary to convict some bureaucrats to send a message to the rest of the functionaries in government that they are not untouchable.

The number of people moving for work is down. More Blacks and minorities are working. The market is stable. Do you take a chance on somebody that wants to give your job to an illegal and then tax you for their support?

Yeah.
I don't necessarily agree with the post you referenced but your comment is exactly why Obama lost seats in 2010 and 2014. The suburban voters and older voters shifted to the Rs. Rs were already guaranteed the vast majority of rural votes and would not take the urban voters. So all those 5 pt shifts in suburban districts and winning senior citizens who vote in much higher percentages carried the day.

Come 2016- Ds outperformed in the suburbs and Rs carried the Rustbelt. Times change.
