Wait a minute...

"Joe Ely, Tameca Jones and Carrie Rodriguez all performed. Leon Bridges played ahead of O'Rourke's arrival, performing his 2015 hit "River" and a handful of songs from his new album."

They had 4 well known opening acts, all for FREE and they couldn't get more than 55K people to show up? 51,000 people PAID to see Leon Bridges alone at the Rodeo in 2017! LMAO!

I'm not telling you anything about Willie's star power.

I'm just enjoying the spectacle of Cruz sweating in a campaign that was supposed to be no contest.

How 'bout you?

So I went back and listened to the entirety of the debate again. And that's one hour I won't ever get back. :-/

I wanted to go back and relook - to see if I just imagined the Cruz crowd was rowdy and rude, compared to the Beto crowd. At the beginning, when the candidates were introduced, and cheering was allowed, there was equal cheering for Cruz and Beto. So I think we can assume approx equal numbers of supporters of each in the audience.

Here are the numbers:

Incidents of sustained disruptive reaction:

Cruz - 12 Beto - 4

Incidents of brief, nondisruptive reaction, by a few members:

Cruz - 10 Beto - 12

Incidents of jeering/negative reaction:

Cruz - 5 Beto - 0

And other observations:

Incidence of jeering laughter by the candidate:

Cruz - 2 Beto - 0

Times candidate had to be verbally told more than once he was out of time, while he kept talking:

Cruz - 7 Beto - 0

Incidents where the candidate had to be told by the other he had his facts wrong or was outright lying:

Cruz - 5 Beto - 0

*Note, I forgave each candidate the long sustained applause at the very end of their 90 second conclusive statement, because that seemed expected.

So. Loveshiscountry. Do you backtrack that Cruz's audience was much less well-behaved than Beto's?
Well, at least you obsess very well.

I would imagine the venue limited the crowd size and it wasn't held in the Rodeo arena...
So just because Trump inflates crowd size don't lay that on Beto...

And you would NEVER catch Cruz at any open free to whomever shows up or asks for a ticket type show
Cruz would be AFRAID to be in a situation like that...

The "venue" is a massive outdoor park that's just under 50 acres in size, it routinely holds crowds in excess of 120K people so once again, your imagination is wrong. I didn't say anything about Trump inflating crowd size, I said BETO did and now you're trying to drag the President into this? Give me a break, stop lying.

I personally attended a Ted Cruz event in my area in August that was open to the public and free, I received tickets via email and had no trouble whatsoever attending and even talking to Cruz for a couple minutes after the event. Perhaps you're just a little too biased to admit that you have no idea what you're talking about.

Honesty requires you to admit that you didn't get it.

In any case, your weak attempts to minimize Beto's momentum simply reveal your insecurity with your Cruz support.

Feel free to vote for Lyin' Ted.
