Geez! I never realized it was YOUR government paid for by YOUR taxes and the schools belong to YOU. I guess nobody else pays taxes but YOU?
"endowed, by their Creator" Whomever or whatever "their creator" may be? One things for sure it's not the almighty government paid for by YOUR taxes. Take the word God out of everything and you no longer have inalienable rights that are "endowed by their Creator" only rights that are endowed by YOUR government. Let me know if you have any questions? If you can't figure any of this out, I'll be sure not to answer them.
While establishing the foundation of a new fledgling nation. The founders of this country determined that there was no higher authority other than our "creator" or God if you will. They established that it was our "creator" who granted us "certain unalienable rights", not by mankind. Only our "creator" has the authority to revoke those rights, not by mankind or by an elected body of individuals. It doesn't matter whether you believe in God or what religion you practice or if you practice no religion at all. Our "certain unalienable rights" are spelled out in the first ten amendments known as "The Bill of Rights" within the Constitution.
If the words "endowed by their Creator" were not written into the preamble to the Declaration of Independence than our "certain unalienable rights" under the Constitution would become null and void as there would be no higher authority above mankind that guarantees that those rights will remain intact.
I am not a religious person, I don't go to church, religious ceremonies bore the hell out of me. It's not up to me or anyone else to determine what religion anyone should practice. But I fully understand why the words "their creator" were used in drafting the Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights which spelled out exactly which rights were protected from majority or mob rule.
Liberals/Socialists like to preach at the alter of almighty government. That we are a Democracy and that our civil liberties are determined only by what the majority will allow. Like it or not, that's not the principle this country was founded on.
The separation of church and state is a whole other issue as freedom of religion and the right not to practice it too is a cornerstone of our Constitutional Republic as spelled out in the 1st Amendment.

This is what you said originally, and I addressed it:
7 Religion—Remove the belief in God from the Government and schools.

No, the only thing you addressed is that you think that it is YOUR government paid for by YOUR taxes and that the schools belong to YOU. And that nobody else pays taxes but YOU?
Quote:
I have no time to read all of this, but on #7 - yes, religion of any type has no place in MY government and in MY schools. Where by MY I mean paid by MY tax money.
My whole point was to explain the reason why Socialist's wish to remove the belief in God from the government and schools. But you still don't get it?

I said what I had to say. The only person not getting it is you.
Who are you voting for? Not asking about your reasons, just watching trends. Let’s avoid controversial comments and limit it to a poll to get an idea of CD demographics.
Good. If we want politicians to worry about our interests then we have to use voting power. I don’t care who you vote for but take action, don’t sit it out. Don’t let them take you for granted. Don’t just hand it over as default, make them work for it.
