Why do you throw in a teacher's trunk? The teacher's at my daughter's school in Broward are mostly Republican from what I can tell on their Twitter posts.

Counting votes that were found in a closet 4 days after the elections isn't democracy. It's fraud.

I threw it in for dramatic effect. Okay, in a janitor's closet - happy? It doesn't matter where ballots filled in by election workers for voters who never existed were found. The problem is that they're found.

I would say a problem is disorganization, which is why the supervisor of elections needs to comply with the rules about having all votes counted before a certain date and time.

By adding dramatic effect, including the claim that the democrats are stealing the election, the conversation has now turned against republicans for not wanting every vote counted.

Of course this won't satiate the conspiracy theorists.

People are stupid.

Do you have any idea how hard it would be to fake 50k or more ballots? Do you have any idea how easy it would be to detect that, especially since both parties have advisors on site and on top of that you simply can't fake that many signatures or even have that many people forging ballots in a day or two. The entire idea is retarded.

If 20k dead people voted then again, sample 1k of the ballots they are counting and the legal teams can verify with a little math.

Naturally you'll hear a ton of conspiracy theories from people that can't grasp anything other than their version of reality. They'll see something like 7 illegals voted out of 800k and they are like "see!! millions of illegals voted it is true!"

You folks are demented.

It is Florida law that requires a recount take place when the margin between the two candidates is so thin. Both parties need to respect the law and allow the recount to take place.

I can understand the GOP's concern of wanting to make sure votes are legitimate, however the reality is that Rick Scott has been the governor of Florida for 8 years and has had plenty of time to work towards ensuring a modernized and legitimate election system. As of yet, there is no evidence of voter fraud, therefore the recount must continue and every vote must count.

every LEGAL vote should count

provisional ballots are not confirmed to be valid

Quote:
Provisional ballots ensure that voters are not excluded from the voting process due to an administrative error. They provide a fail-safe mechanism for voters who arrive at the polls on Election Day and whose eligibility to vote is uncertain. Also referred to as “challenge ballots” or “affidavit ballots” in some states, they are required by the federal Help America Vote Act of 2002 (HAVA). When there is uncertainty about a voter’s eligibility—the potential voter’s name is not on the voter rolls, a required identification document isn’t available or other issues—the election official is required to offer the voter a provisional ballot instead of a regular ballot.
so while some teacher may find a box of let's say 35,000 provisional ballots...until they are vetted, there is no knowing how many are even valid voters, let alone whom they voted for

it is awfully convenient that every time there is a close election in Florida, they ""find"" boxes of ballots....yet wont count the military absentee ballots

Gillum is right every vote must be counted and we remember in 2000 when the USSC stopped our votes from being counted & awarded the Presidency to Dubya.
We are not falling for that crap again.
Sorry, but Florida is the joke of the country when it comes to counting votes.

Interestingly, Rick Scott went out of his way to help the Panhandle counties vote because they vote mostly Republican. He eased the rules for these counties, but Scott is ok with bending the rules for Republican voters--not worried about fraud at all.

So if anything "stinks" there, you can look to Red Tide Rick to be causing the stink. Or maybe that's just the smell of dead fish.

"....Scott’s order gives the eight counties the ability to extend early voting days and to designate more early voting locations, even though the deadline to do so has passed....

...The order also allows counties to send mail ballots to an address other than the address of the voter requesting a ballot and to provide mail ballots to a voter’s immediate family member on Election Day without the need for a signed affidavit declaring an emergency..."
