We are a country of laws, or not. Right now, it seems as if we are slip sliding toward or not.

Let us count valid and legal votes according to the law of each state's laws.

Is there something wrong with following the law?

The official deadline for Florida counties to give their counts is Saturday(today). Other FL counties, including R leaning counties, were also counting provision ballots - all throughout Florida they were doing this.

There are teams with authorized watchers from both R and D camps watching this in every FL county to ensure the provisional and absentee ballots were properly counted and properly processed. Reviewers have to decide which ones meet criteria to be thrown out and which ones are valid. Signature mismatch is subjective. People also voted provisional because they were removed from the rolls.

2 people in Sarasota county were wrongly removed from the voter rolls and marked as dead but they were alive and voted with provisional ballots when they showed up at the polls to vote and were told they couldn't vote with a normal ballot because the voter rolls showed they died. See link below.

These provisional ballots all have to be reviewed by hand with teams of reviewers and with watchers from R and D side too. They have handwritten notes on them. One of the 2 wrongly marked as deceased wrote on the ballot "I am resurrected". There's a place on the provisional ballots for notes. These can't be machine counted/reviewed when a team is reviewing the notes and signature and decide whether the vote is valid or not.

Also military and overseas ballots, were still being counted statewide, as they were allowed to arrive later than election day due to postmark rules.

Below is a link about Sarasota County(a Red county) reviewing/counting ballots Thursday evening(2 days after the election)

https://www.heraldtribune.com/news/2...three-contests

The Sarasota County Canvassing Board met Thursday at 5 p.m. to go over 432 provisional ballots that were flagged for some reason, such as a signature mismatch or the voter not having proper identification.

“We will count as many as we can,” said Sarasota County Elections Supervisor ...“The ones that are accepted will all be opened and we’ll tabulate those tonight to add to the count.”

The accepted provisional ballots included two people who were removed from the voter rolls by the state and marked as deceased. Detert read a note written by one of the voters.

“He says, ‘They accidentally marked me as dead,’” Detert said. “He even said, ‘I was resurrected!’”

Turner said nine absentee ballots from military and overseas voters that trickled in late but were postmarked by Election Day also were added

Caught placing provisional ballots(always questionable) in with valid ballots.
Caught reproducing and duplicating ballots without oversight from both parties, only a single Democrat worker, flying through them.
Caught hiding ballots.
Caught discovering unknown ballots 4 days later after the vote close.
Caught with opened ballots in bags.
Caught transporting ballots in private vehicles, without police escort.
Nearing 100% of registered voters in number of ballots.

She has just as many ballots as were cast in my County, to work with.
We were done, early morning on the 7th.

They still cannot say how many total ballots were cast 4 days later, in Broward County. By Law, this was suppose to be submitted 30 minutes after the polls closed

Texas counts provisional ballots 6 days AFTER the election. So in your county, any provisional ballots that get approved could still be counted for a few more days from today. It's just that you don't have any razor-thin races that are so close that the number of outstanding provisional ballots could impact the outcome. That's why your races were called in your county.

TEXAS - Counting of Provision Ballots 6 days after the election:
VoteTexas.gov » FAQs for the May 22, 2018 Election

In order to have the provisional ballot counted in the election, you will have to visit the county voter registrar’s office by the sixth calendar day after Election Day. At the county voter registrar’s office, you will have to show one of the seven (7) acceptable forms of photo identification listed above, or, if you qualify, submit a natural disaster temporary affidavit referenced above. If you present a proper form of photo identification or submit the natural disaster temporary affidavit, the provisional ballot will be counted.

I think we all get it, that votes weren't counted in a timely manner.

So, what do you do in that case? Not count legal votes? (Assuming these are actually legal).

IMHO, every single legal vote needs to be counted, and if there needs to be any kind of sanction against any of the election officials for sloppy management or ignoring a court order, that should be separate from making sure every single legal vote is tallied.

(Remembers back in Florida, when it was suggested that overseas military absentee votes not be tallied because that would cause a delay in reporting the totals. NOT a wise idea).
