First of all, the recount is not some sort of fraud pulled by the democrats. It's state law that there has to be a recount. There's nothing political about it. The margin was within what was required to trigger an automatic recount, regardless of what party was ahead.

Judge sides with Florida’s Rick Scott, cites ‘violation’ of state constitution by election officials

A state judge sided with Florida Republican Rick Scott in ordering Republicans be granted “immediate” access to requested information about ballots in Broward County amid explosive lawsuits against the county’s top election official.
This.

One only has to ask, why are we even here, one week later, with a judge even involved in the first place, while everyone else got their **** together.

Does that mean only in the Senate race, is being recounted, or the entire ballot?

The military ballots aren't all in yet. Surely you are not suggesting that the military votes shouldn't count? There's a good chance they will boost the red votes, if that makes any difference (which I'm sure it does to those who only want to let republican votes count!).

The Senate votes are being counted by hand and the Governor votes are being recounted by machine. The state law is that if it's less than a half percent separating them, they get recounted by machine. If it's less than a quarter percent, they get counted by hand.

It's an extremely close race. Just a relative handful out of over 8 million votes cast. Nobody has a mandate here; the only thing we can do is wait for the recount and see which side managed to eke out a tiny percentage more voters to get off of their duffs and actually vote.

It also seemed that Democrats kept gaining on every recount, at least during the 2000 election though it seems to be the same here as well. Does anyone have a good idea why? Not that it's important - it should be fixed. The first count should be accurate!
Few points to make on this

1. The #'s change on pretty much every election from the initial count to the final certified results, but we just do not hear about it unless it is very close.

2. The #'s for the recount have not come out yet so in the case of this year we do not know if there will be any changes or not

3. The margins did go back and forth a bit during the 2000 recount in Florida

4. We had a local race here back in 2009 (Nassau County Executive) in which the Democratic Incumbent Tom Suozzi led the Republican challenger Ed Mangano after Election night. Mangano came out victorious after the recount.

Well it is done and over then... By hand, they will never meet the deadline.
Broward has not even finished the machine count to even start a hand count.

The Governor is not close enough to have a state wide recount. The Senate and some state constitutional amendments are.

To elaborate it on a bit, there are actually six races in the state headed for a Recount. Three local races (State House and State Senate) and three statewide races, Senator, Governor and Commissioner of Agriculture. These will all initially be Machine Recounts as mandated under state law due to the margins being under 0.5%. If the margins after the Machine Recount are under 0.25% it proceeds to a Manual Recount, however my understanding of the law is it is not a full hand recount, but rather than a hand recount of the ballots in which the machines tabulated either an under vote or over vote.
