The problem isn't with Trump though--it's Dems who would eat Biden alive.

Black millenials are going to gripe about the Anita Hill grilling and the Crime bill that locked up a generation of young black and brown men for 'privatized prisons'.

White feminists in #metoo will gripe about his groping and 'creepy' escapades caught on tape (expect allegations to pour out).

Hippy Libs will gripe about his voting record and Iraq.

Other Millenials will complain about his fossil like appearance and the need for fresh, new young leadership.

His base would eat that steak before it hit the grill.

people are clueless here.....anybody leading in any poll 2 years before the primaries even begin is meaningless and worthless. the 2020 Democratic primary will be a long bloody marathon and everybody has to go out there and grind it out and not only put out a platform and take sides on the issues and back it up for 6 months but also defend their record from attacks from other candidates and the media.

So all these polls now are worthless......All I know about Biden that he sucks when he had to run on his own name and record and platform. In 2008 he only got 1% in Iowa and dropped out and this is a well known Joe Biden who had a 35-year record in the Senate by 2008. He has been in the U.S. Senate since 1973. Talk about an old very establishment politician. That's like pushing Senator Ted Kennedy for President in 1996 ( that would have been 35 years in the U.S. Senate for Ted)

Joe Biden has been in government for nearly 46 years (nearly half a century) out of his 76 years of life. Let that sink in and what is his record? what does he have to show for?

What're next Democrats? you are going to recruit Gary Hart? Bill Bradley? Tom Harkin? Bob Kerrey? All those Senators are from the Joe Biden era. The difference is all of them are old and retired for the exception of Biden, who some Democrats want him to run.....lol

What is Biden going to run in 2020? change? a new kind of Democrat?......let's go back to the glory Obama days on trade and foreign policy?

I would love it if the Democrats nominated Joe Biden to run for them. He would absolutely melt in front of Trump.

But, it's not gonna happen......

I've said before and I'll say again, the current Democrat party is incapable of nominating a straight White male these days to the top of the ticket. Joe isn't Gay, 100% White, isn't a Nu-Male say like Trudeau, and he has a history of womanizing. Then there's that whole, let's torment Anita Hill thing that he's responsible for too. Joe will never make it through all that.

Besides, if Beta says he's running, Joe's toast. Yesterday's news.

Hillary was going to run no matter what. Uncle Joe's attempt to assuage that 'hope' would have branded him a sexist.
I’m sorry but it had everything to do with Beau dying. It devestiated Joe and he had to be there for his family because they came first.

Joe Biden is the best hope for Democrats to make Trump a one term president. He would surely reel back in those blue collar voters in Pennsylvania and Michigan who broke for Trump over Hillary in 2016. The Democrats lost not because people loved Trump. Hillary was just a bad candidate and add to the fact that Bernie Sanders didn't help by dividing the party after it became clear Hillary was going to become the nominee. It was a perfect storm for a Trump victory, one that won't be duplicated in 2020 with a more popular democratic candidate. Black turn out will also likely be higher in 2020 than in 2016. We saw this higher turn out among African Americans in the 2018 midterms. Joe Biden is the next best thing to voting for Obama again.
You guys haven't learned anything from the 2016 polls?

And the methodology was skewed from the get go - more Democrats were polled than republicans. Show me a poll that demonstrates those polled are equal as far as gender, age groups, political affiliation and I might consider it. This is a poll from July - so things may even look worse for Trump - but polls will give you the answer you want when you skew them.

The progressives in his party don't want him because he is a corporate democrat that have sold the working class out.

The Democrats better get your $hiat together and decide what party you want to be in 2020 and put fresh people to back that platform or you just going to recycle another establishment Democrat that will repeat the same things in the past.

All you have to remind the blue collar folks is Biden record on NAFTA and his support TPP that will outsource more jobs overseas and he is done....he can't defend his record and he has a long one.
He'll definitely get us back into chronic wars all over the place, he's a world saver, but not the savior for the Democratic party. He'll lose. He will not grab the Democrats they lost to Bernie and Trump last time.

There is a portion of Dems that lean socialist now and it seems the party just doesn't get it. It's messing up their base. I agree Biden will fall on his face if they run him, he's old school. I hope they don't make the same mistake twice.
