Obama wasn't as popular as many of you seem to think. Why would they elect his VP? And Trump winning was basically a rejection of Obama part 2 (AKA Hillary). If Americans truly loved Obama, Hillary would had easily won.

Joe Biden is the best hope for Democrats to make Trump a one term president. He would surely reel back in those blue collar voters in Pennsylvania and Michigan who broke for Trump over Hillary in 2016. The Democrats lost not because people loved Trump. Hillary was just a bad candidate and add to the fact that Bernie Sanders didn't help by dividing the party after it became clear Hillary was going to become the nominee. It was a perfect storm for a Trump victory, one that won't be duplicated in 2020 with a more popular democratic candidate. Black turn out will also likely be higher in 2020 than in 2016. We saw this higher turn out among African Americans in the 2018 midterms. Joe Biden is the next best thing to voting for Obama again.

But those Blue Collar Voters in states like WI, MI, OH, PA, IA were tired of Obama's presidency and completely rejected him and his agenda, by choosing Donald Trump. Do you really think that they would go for someone who was associated with the President they rejected in any way?

Please recycle another establishment politician. Biden is also 5 years older than Hillary. What's next, democrats.... Jimmy Carter to make a comeback?

Trump vs Biden is a coin flip, at this stage and in my opinion. Trump vs Hillary is a win for Trump. Trump vs a young competent democrat (if Trump decides to run again) is going to be a tough matchup for him.
