Elizabeth Warren's fundraising fell off 30% in the fourth quarter and she is imploring her supporters to step up the campaign donations in advance of the start of the primaries in early February (less than weeks).

Warren says campaign fundraising down 30% in fourth quarter

Elizabeth Warren implored supporters to step up campaign donations as the end of the presidential fundraising quarter looms on Dec. 31, citing a sharp drop-off from three months ago.

"So far this quarter, we’ve raiseda little over $17million," the Massachusetts senator said in an email Friday. That’s a good chunk behind where we were at this time last quarter," Warren said, noting it's 30% behind where the campaign was in late September.

Warren's drop in fundraising tracks with her decline in the polls. She led the Democratic field, at 15 candidates, as recently as October. But her polling edge faded fast amid questions over how her "Medicare for all" healthcare plan would be paid for.
Warren has tried to market herself as not doing fundraisers with rich donors, but instead, President Obama has apparently been working that circuit as a surrogate on her behalf. But it apparently is not working.

I am surprised at how much she has fallen off in the polls. Her "Medicare for All" plan was hardly a secret. She is a radical left borderline "socialist" politician. There are a lot of people who support that kind of thinking among Democrat voters. The extent to which she has been abandoned in this race, when there is not really anyone who is a superior alternative, was unexpected, at least to me.

I wonder why this is.

There have been some editorials recently commenting on how far to the left Warren actually is. She has tried to position herself to the right of Bernie, but:

Warren’s economic plan was recently harshly criticized by former Obama administration adviser Steven Rattner, who said, “I would say it’d be disastrous for the American economy.”
...
Rattner concluded, “I think you could make an argument that her plans and policies are far more extreme than Bernie Sanders
Her proposed payroll tax is especially bad. She claims not to support taxing the middle class, but that's exactly what this would do. "Employer's share" of any payroll tax is a book-keeping fiction, according to the economists at the CBO. The money comes out of the workers' pockets.

I don’t like Warren and don’t agree at all with Bernie Sanders.

However, I disagree with you on Buttigieg. He is a moderate. The link Katharsis posted refers to Buttigieg wanting to help little children who were taken from their parents at the border by Trump. These kids are innocent of any wrongdoing and are being help in bad and sometimes unsafe conditions. Should a 6 year old little girl have to take care of someone’s little baby because Trump snatched it out of the mother’s arms? What kind of person is Trump? And what kind of people harm little children emotionally and psychologically and physically? What selfish folks are these? Shame on all Trump supporters!

RIP dems
$5,000,000 can’t get rid of the stain of Impeachment or the reputation of being an inveterate liar and friend of dictators.

RIP the Republican Party.

Trump is a scum who is destroying the very fabric of our country. Wake up and see what he has done already to undermine the Constitution and our Democracy.

The second link you posted is not a real url. Nothing there...

Re 1st link listed, see my post #1384 about how Buttigieg wants to help little children who were ripped from their mothers’ arms and incarcerated. Guess you don’t care if babies are mistreated?

That stain washes of with truthclean... the political version of oxyclean.

Your child separation BS turns out to have saved many children and young people, from the ravages of human trafficking. Did you forget that? or those facts don't fit the narrative? Where you ever on the border?

Joe Biden was asked today in Iowa if he would nominate Barack Obama to the Supreme Court. to which Joe replied, "If he'd take it, yes".

Meanwhile, Barack Obama has apparently been out and around, helping Elizabeth Warren with fundraising among big donors, who of course she is opposed to raising funds from. It does not seem like Obama is in any way leaning towards endorsing Biden, unless of course he becomes the nominee for the Democrats, without his help.

Biden has been trying to wrap himself in the mantle of Obama since he first announced, so this is hardly breaking news. But I wonder how much the Democrat left voter base is going to be moved by what Obama does or thinks at this juncture. I could be wrong, but I suspect not very much.

But good try, Joe!
