There likely won’t be any Republican primary
regardless of how I feel about our sitting president, I hope you are right. Remember the last time a sitting president had a serious challenger? Well I do and the president got beat.

isn't that a pretty shallow comment: since when do we vote based on looks? Maybe we should discuss some on the other side and their looks? I am always amazed when people talk about looks.

You were born in 84? You haven't really even seen that many candidates. Certainly since you have been old enough to vote you haven't. Why do you say any capable candidate should be able to beat him? What happened in 2016?

I wouldn't vote for McConnell no matter what he looked like.

And find me a Dem who doesn't want an "assault weapons" ban and a 10 round limit, or so help me God, I'm going to vote for Trump. And I didn't even vote for him the first time.

I think there will be at least one, if not more, primary challengers on the GOP side. This president is ripe for a take down. Hell, if some Republican challenges him, I will change my voter registration from Democrat to Republican just to vote for him in the primary. I will consider it a patriotic act. And I'm guessing I won't be alone.

I think it's pretty clear Kasich, Flake and now Romney are all eyeballing the Republican nomination for the presidency with their continued criticism of him. They probably also know there's a 50/50 chance Trump won't be president by November 2020 and in that case it would be a wide-open primary.

Romney has already said he will not run and Flake is no more of a factor than any random poster here on this board. Kasich ran in 2016 and got 154 delegates. Anyone who truly believes he can be a factor this time is smoking crack, or something stronger.

You'll be waiting for it to be gone on January 2025. I'm afraid it's going to be a long time for it to happen.
