Democratic socialists started the new openness to using the word. They opened the door for it to be used for and against. For whatever short-term and long-term impact.

Money had to be spent by the government to bring us back. Thankfully, Obama was able to do that. He is/was a smart guy who was able to get good advice, unlike the dumbbell Trump, who couldn’t get us out of a wet paper bag.

(BTW, I’m a moderate Independent, who had considered registering Republican until GWB came along.). There are some good Dems running. They are not getting much press, as the top 4 peeps in the polls are sucking up all the attention. 3 of those are far left wing progressives. None of them will be the nominee.
Anyone who puts 100% of the blame on GWB for the recession is pretty simple. Just ignore the fact that Bill Clinton repealed Glass Steagall and he and Barney Frank passed laws that unqualified people should get home loans....It was Democrat policies that caused that.

And no one has forgotten. I assure you, I lost plenty of money too. Obama's big contribution to fixing the economy? Cash for clunkers (epic fail) and stimulus (another epic failure).

The primaries are still six months off, so a lot can still change. But the polls that have been coming out recently are anticipating a real scrum.

California (Quinnipiac): Harris 23, Biden 21, Sanders 18, Warren 16 | More

True. Bernie and AOC esp., but Republicans have their own words to contend with, much worse ones namely bigoted, authoritative, corrupt, crooked and the like.

All of those words are much more applicable to Democrat leftists than they are to the Republican right.

Joe Biden's campaign is defying the left's "medicare for all" mantra. Sound like he hired some new consultants who reminded him that he is supposed to be the "moderate" candidate, since he previously seemed to have forgotten this.

Quote:
Biden campaign rips 'Medicare for All,' calls on Dems to protect Affordable Care Act

presidential campaign expanded his critiques against “Medicare for All” and pressed its opponents to fight to protect and expand the Affordable Care Act (ACA), which the former vice president played a crucial role in ushering through Congress.

Deputy Campaign Manager and Communications Director Kate Bedingfield detailed Republican efforts to overhaul the Obama administration’s signature legislation.
Joe doesn't seem to get out much these days. So his campaign staff are out making these presentations for him. In any case, there is another debate next week, and Joe will not be able to send any of his staff to that. So hopefully he is up to speed on this when he is pushed to explain what he means by this and where he differs from his adversaries on this point - if in fact he actually does.

I have little doubt someone set Joe straight. The thing Trump figured out WAY early on is that you have to differentiate yourself from the pack and not by some new program that gives free stuff out.

You mean the free wall that Mexico was supposed to pay for? "Who's going to pay for it?" said Trump. "Mexico", shouts the crowd.

As if whites can't be hated and discriminated against.

The left has made it completely known in the last 10 years that whites (specifically white males) are not wanted in their party and are all part of the problem in America today (whatever that problem is, I don't know).
Why would a white person be racist against whites? You make no sense with this remark. Now if you are talking about how I think most Trump supporters of any color or ethnicity are just plain ignorant of the damage Trump is doing to our country and our society, then ok. I’ll give you that.

But that is not the same as racist. Maybe you should try to expand your vocabulary.

Someone is a racist if they advocate treating people differently based on their "race". It does not matter what the racist's "race" is, nor does it matter what anyone else's "race" is.

In fact, there is only one race, the human race. People who truly are free from being racists know this, while people who are racists certainly do not.
