Going after poor parents, one whose kid only missed 3 days of school, while protecting bankers makes you a horrible human being.
The California law on truancy clearly states , the school itself does not have to deem a student truant even if the reasons for them missing class aren't valid and can even dismiss claims of truancy in favor of a student in bad circumstances . If it gets to Kamala Harris, then the kids parents were likely letting them skip class. T

At best, she laughed at the idea of having an opponent in the general election.
Her speech was about parents who let their kids skip school .

She was laughing during a conversation about punishing parents, many of who may have had a reason.
And as a state prosecutor it is her choice who to go after, Parents whose kids are missing a few days of schools was her choice, which is wrong (there are other ways to handle the situation besides jail).
Just like she chose not to go after mnuchin.
