let's see.....Weld is for open borders, amnesty, globalism, endless wars, and endless occupations and bad trade deals. He is pro-choice and doesn't want to ban partial birth abortions. He praises Hillary Clinton and said she would make a fine President.
yeah, just like Trump.
Can you show me where Weld says he is for open borders and amnesty? The wall may be intended to keep us in more than it's intended to keep others out.
Trump is continuing much of Obama's foreign policy, Trump is a neocon.
You are criticizing Weld for being pro-choice? How about this?
As far as free trade, free trade has created millions of American jobs, many of which pay more than those not related to trade. We know that free trade creates jobs. There is also a principle involved here. Why should government tell a company in Indiana that it can't trade with a company in Peru? Only big government authoritarians who hate freedom and free markets oppose free trade.
If I recall correctly, the last time a sitting president had competition in the primaries from his own party was Jimmy Carter in 1980, who was challenged by Ted Kennedy.

He kept John Silber that peerless nut job from being Governor. That alone earns him my respect. He did fine. His administration left the state in fine shape when he left. He was progressive and ahead of his time on social issues. He was a big enemy of Jesse Helms. And he brought Ed Meese down during the Reagan administration.
He's brutally honest. Can't be bought. I hope he sticks around long enough for the debates because he will go for Trump's throat.
I can't remember anything he did for Massachusetts but I don't remember anything negative about him either.
I don't care how old he is, if he is a reasonable person, I think I would vote for him. I can't vote for the far left Democratic crazies who are coming out of the woodwork. We need someone stable, sort of boring, but stable and middle of the road. Calm, peace.

Pat Buchanan against George HW Bush in 1992.

I lived in Boston at the time, and I voted for Weld over Silber, that's how atrocious Silber was. No regrets.
From what I've read he supports the GUEST WORKER PROGRAM instead of illegal immigration. I'm all for that. We already have it but it needs to be upgraded so that it will work better. They come, they work, they go back home. And they are kept track of so that they don't run off and stay here. The money they earn goes back and enriches the economy of their own country, which is good. We need to help their countries. Win-win.
